This newly renovated off-grid (no electricity or plumbing) cabin in the Finger Lakes region is ideal for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. The private cabin sits on the edge of a gorgeous meadow surrounded by forest and easily accessible trails.
The cabin is two miles from Upper Robert Treman State Park, 6 miles from Buttermilk Falls, 12 miles from Taughannok Falls and 19 miles from Watkins Glen State Park.
This tranquil cabin is the perfect place to unwind, relax and tune in.
The space
This post and beam cabin has no electricity or running water. Which makes it peaceful and special.
Truly off grid.
The cabin has:
-a newly built composting outhouse 30 feet from the cabin.
-a queen bed with cozy linens, four pillows, and xtra blankets
-several battery run hurricane lanterns.
-an easy to use two burner butane stove
-a camping shower bag that hangs outside behind the back of the cabin (with the trees it’s very private)
-a 3 gallon drinking water canister that will be filled for your arrival
and xtra gallons of tap water below sink for dishwashing.

-a large cooler
- a sink, cutting boards, knives,
-pots, pans, utensils, dishes, cups and glasses.
-Coffee, Teas, French Press, Pour over, #2 filters, sugar, salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, and hot sauce.
It will be filled with water and it will be warm if the sun was out, but at the very least it will be cool and refreshing
Also provided:
Linens, towels, environmentally friendly soaps, hand sanitizer, TP, paper towels, mirror, games, drawing pads, pens, first aid kit.
Fire Pit (some wood is available) and bringing firewood bundles is recommended for longer stays
This rural neighborhood has more than a few wonders. Two miles from the cabin is the popular Robert Treman State Park with miles of trails that weave along the infamous Lucifer Falls. The Finger lakes trail is also just a 5 min walk away. A welcomed addition to the neighborhood is Stone Bend Farm, less than a mile from the cabin. Stone bend Farm provides farm to table wood fired pizza , salads, roasted, local craft beer on tap and local ciders and wines. They are open Fri- Sundays. On Friday’s you might find live music in the form of a honky tonk night, Indie music, Americana, or even a community square dance. On Sundays it’s simply the best Brunch option around..there’s even a 9 am yoga class!
Just below our driveway is a parking lot and a trail head for the Bock/Harvey Forest Preserve. Those are the trails just beyond the meadow. You might see birders, hikers, and the occasional fox and deer walking along the tree line. The trail heading up the field leads to a locust Leanto and then up the the Finger Lakes Trail.This is a newly renovated post and beam cabin that sits on the edge of a gorgeous meadow surrounded by forest (all land trust forest preserve) and easily accessible trails.
