Welcome to the top of MT Roderick located in Cincinnatus, NY. A secluded & private home located on 6 acres of tranquil woodlands where you can reconnect with nature & yourself. A place of solidarity. Here, you will find a quaint home with a loft, access to an outhouse, fire pit & sunsets. Enjoy the night skies, moonlight & wildlife.Our simple, small home has a kitchenette. Containing a propane stove, vintage ice box (bring your own ice), dishes, pots/pans, cutlery, cutting board and French press/pour-over coffee maker.
A limited supply of tap water will be provided for hand washing and dish washing. The home does not have running water.
The queen sized bed is located in the loft. Organic flax linen sheets, pillows, and blankets are provided. There is a fastened wooden ladder to get up to the loft platform. The loft is cozy and does not provide standing space.
The open common space has a love seat, folding chairs, and a table. It has string solar lights. Solar light dependability is based on weather and usage. It is recommended to have back up lighting such as a flashlight with extra batteries or other solar lights. Candles are not permitted.
The fixed outhouse is attached to the front porch. The outhouse consists of a toilet: non flushing, contained, is a bucket with wood chips placed under a toilet seat. Toilet paper and fresh wood chips are provided.
There is a fire pit and charcoal stove. Wood & charcoal are not provided.
Additional guests are welcome for an additional cost and space for tent camping is available for an additional cost. Tents (already assembled and ready to greet you) and some basic camping gear can be provided as well. Please ask host (flexible and willing to accommodate your needs).
