Relax into the privacy, safety, quiet, and great views at Catbird Hill, our 12-acre slice of heaven. We are poised on a small hill overlooking almost nothing but fields, distant homes, and Bristol Mountain Resort in the distance. This is big sky country, where you can enjoy sublime sunrises, striking sunsets, and millions of blinking stars. If the weather is just right, you'll enjoy stunning views of morning fog rolling into the valley. You'll walk through flowering meadows, mature trees, and a short wooded trail. With few exceptions, you will enjoy supreme quiet all year long. If you like birds, you’ll find up to 122 species through the seasons (including a great selection of grassland birds). You may hear owls hooting at dusk, coyotes yapping at sundown, and the 'hmph' of a deer crossing the path. This place has healed us, and we hope it heals you, too. YOUR CAMPSITE: This is our home and 10-acre yard, not a park. Upon arrival, you can choose your preferred campsite. You can pop a tent in the back meadow and enjoy quiet views of a distant horse farm, perch on the bluff and take in the nearby farm, or snuggle up next to the pond. A private seating area is available in the old barn foundation. You can grill on our small charcoal grill or build a toasty bonfire. Flat driveway for vehicles. Park and walk 150 yards to campsite. THINGS TO DO FINGER LAKES: Just minutes from Canandaigua/Honeoye Lakes. Enjoy the regions finest breweries and wineries, skiing, hiking, parks, fishing, reserves, waterfalls, restaurants, antique shops, a track and casino, etc. https://www.fingerlakes.com/ ROCHESTER has museums, theatre, music, and great parks. Feel free to ask us for ideas. RESTRICTIONS No Pets. No facilities. Owner on site, mostly out of the way, especially on weekdays. I have been an avid hipcamp user for years and I have never been someplace as welcoming and beautiful as Catbird Hallow. Laura is kind and knowledgeable about her land and the local environment. This spot provides all of the necessities and even more. I would highly recommend this site to anyone and everyone!!!
