At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, every camper that stays helps to improve and maintain the land for future use. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, some more so than others - Read each description for details. *Please note* Megalong Road (the only access in to and out of Megalong Valley) sustained a major landslide on 5/4/24. The road is open, but there is boom gates, an escort vehicle and one small lane open only. The journey down is slow, with tight corners, but it is beautiful. Take your time and enjoy it. Don't come in a hurry.

Paddock Camp

We had a great time camping on Claudia’s land. We enjoyed the scenery. It was very peaceful with no other campsites within sight. The directions were very clear and Claudia gave some great recommendations for local attractions. Recommended.

Ridge Top Camp

Perfect for a weekend away camping

A great spot! Private, beautiful views over the valley, perfect for watching the sunset. We rode our bikes along the property's road to explore the nearby wombat holes and to feed the goats - which our two young boys loved! And only 2 hours from Sydney (note - Google maps directed us to travel along Kanimbla Dr and approach the property from the north... then we reached a locked gate! The only way through is via Megalong Road so check your Google map directions first!) It was also less than 30mins to drive into Blackheath to access a large number of hikes if you are looking for other things to do. Would certainly recommend the spot as being great for a weekend away.

Beautiful place

Beautiful spot, such a great price and the drive there was lovely. Excellent view of the sun setting with windmills in the distance. Well worth the price. Would go again.

An absolutely beautiful spot, so peaceful and private. Beautiful views and nice and sunny late into the evening with an amazing sunset. The night sky was clear with plenty of stars out, lots of birds singing in the trees and a lovely sunny morning again this morning.

Paddock Camp Review

Our recent stay at Paddock Camp was nothing short of amazing. The camp area is huge, offering plenty of space that made it feel very private. We were surrounded by peace and tranquility, with no one else in sight, which was exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning view of the stars at night. It was a breathtaking experience to sit back and gaze up at the sky, completely free from light pollution. We even spotted kangaroos skipping across the paddocks in the early hours, adding to the magical atmosphere. Getting there was a breeze, thanks to Claudia's simple and clear directions. Claudia was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay, even lending us a bolt cutter when we needed it. Overall, we loved our weekend camping at Paddock Camp and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape into nature.
