The property is a working cattle farm, camp sites have fresh creeks to fossick and frolic in and the views to the border ranges are fantastic, with access to national parks for walking and hiking. Large grassy private campsites are available. you will need to be self sufficient as currently no onsite toilets or showers available. Firewood can be purchased separately. 35 Minutes to either Nimbin or Murwillumbah, 20 minutes to the wonderful little village of Uki, 10 minutes to Lake Clarrie Hall which provides valuable public recreation including swimming, sailing, boating and freshwater fishing, including sports fishing for Australian bass. Approximately one hour to Coolangatta international airport and Byron Bay

Loved our stay here. Very private and great hosts! Brett was very helpful. Will definitely be back. So nice to relax by the creek.

Amazing place to stay
Brett was extremely accommodating. My daughter loved the cows and Brett's dog Teddy and loved looking for crystals in the creek next to our campsite. We went for a walk along one of the ridgeways to see an amazing view and overall had great time. We will becoming back for sure!

We had such an awesome night at platypus place! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Beautiful mountain views, a running creek and easy to get to. The campsite was very clean and flat which made the setup a breeze. Brett is an absolute legend. He helped us get setup even though we arrived late at night and he also provided us with firewood. It was a pleasure staying there! I’m sure we’ll be back soon. Thanks again Brett!

Can’t put into words how beautiful this spot is. Super private space, incredible views all around and was able to set up right next to the creek. Brett was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We already can’t wait to return!

Brett's property was amazing, the camp site had amazing views and was very private. Brett was also very helpful with things to do in the local area. Couldn't remember Doonadilla enough. Thanks Brett. Hope to make it back soon!!
