This property is in Northangera with the Mongarlowe River running along the boundary. It's covered in trees and provides a pristine environment amongst the "Scribbly Gums". It has flat areas with plenty of free timber for the designated fire pits. I have tried to create a haven for wildlife including Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and platypus. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. We offer four sites and the maximum stay is 7 nights.

River Shack
Tiny House living
We loved our stay in the River Shack at Scribbly Gum. A fairly rustic cabin but better than a tent. Lovely bush setting on the edge of the river. We didn't get any fish but did catch sight of a few platypus. Recommend for a couple or family with primary school aged kids.

Site 3
We stayed for a week and I enjoyed every minute. We had a couple of very chilly nights/mornings, but the abundance of firewood on the ground, meant we could stay toasty by the fire. We were at site 3 and it was plenty big enough for 2 fairly large camp set ups, as well as a tether/run for our dog. Sites aren’t terribly close together, so you’re not on top of each other. It’s only a couple of minutes walk from the river. There is plenty of shade and kindling from the big trees which surround the site and a short walk/drive is all that’s necessary to scavenge all the wood we needed. We opted to have a couple of loads of wood supplied and it was waiting for us on our arrival, next to the fire pit which was already full of bark and sticks, which appeared to be raked up from our site, in preparation for our arrival. Phil was so helpful and very responsive to our questions, definitely going above and beyond to assist us with our needs. Our Bub had a great time crawling around in the dirt, haha. The river is gorgeous and clear and would be very refreshing on a hot day. Braidwood is the closest town and a gorgeous little town. Braidwood Bakery has delicious food at very reasonable prices. We drove to the coast three times and it is a very pretty drive. Mogo zoo is about an hour away from Scribbly Gum and some gorgeous beaches are similar distance. I have no hesitation in recommending Scribbly Gum. All round great experience.

Site 1 - Eastern Ridge
Nice bush camping spot with a friendly host. The river was a bit further than I expected it to be but it was still a very relaxing camp.

Such a peaceful spot, secluded and private. We had plenty of firewood, and enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night looking at all the stars. Just a short walk down to the river for a cold dip.
