A peaceful stay amongst the gum trees, greeting the morning with birdsong and falling asleep under the stars in the relaxing countryside of Bungwahl. Enjoy the convenience of camping a few minutes from the beautiful Myall Lake, 10 minutes to the stunning beaches and lighthouse at Seal Rocks, Smiths Lake, wallis Lake, Pacific Palms beaches and 30 minutes to Forster/Tuncurry. The level camping sites offer plenty of space to comfortably spread out, with lots of space for turning caravans, accommodating in wet weather. An easy, enjoyable camping area for self-contained campers (byo camp toilet, power and water). There is a local farm fresh self-serve shop conveniently located next door, 150m away, selling gourmet cheeses, milk, and meats or Bungwahl shop a few minutes away. Enjoy your stay at Gumnuts Campsite and rest, restore, and rejuvenate!

Great spot very close to the beach - about 10/15mins. We met Mel she was absolutely lovely and very welcoming! She even lent us some finska to play that night and some flippers to go snorkeling the next morning. Would definitely recommend and will be back again!!

Nice stay at Myall
Tent ·
The camping was nice, the area has some trees which offer shade and the grass was trimmed. The land is quite flat so the tent stays pretty levelled. The surroundings are lovely, immersed in the Myall National park. Mel, the host, was lovely - she came to ask if we needed anything.

Overall was a good spot. Host was great. The space is way smaller than one thinks as all the bookable spots are around one tree really. Close to the main road/ can see cars travelling sometimes & can occasionally hear them. We were told no fires but others were using the fire pit. No toilets (as expected) so overall just a bit pricey for what you get.

Loved camping at the gumtree site. We were by ourselves for the first two nights and had a caravan on the third night. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Some plus points are there was reception, a fire pit and easy access to seal rocks and Forster. Minor con, is that the flies were a bit persistent. But completely expected when camping.

Much more private than Seal Rocks

Had a great weekend here, would definitely stay again. Nice open grassy area to set up camp, and a dedicated firepit zone. Excellent location only 15 minutes drive from Seal Rocks.
