Binalong Forest Retreat is a 30 acre corner of the beautiful Tweed Shire in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Consisting of 25 acres of tall native forest, with a five acre clearing for the dwelling, studio building and sheds, it is primarily an artist's retreat. Totally private and surrounded by the natural environment, staying here is akin to being in a national park. So if you love nature, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbia, you will appreciate this place we call home. We see ourselves as custodians of the forest, protecting it for future generations. This property is also registered with Land for Wildlife. Being on a ridge Binalong Court is a steep bitumen road to the cul-de-sac. Number 59 has a 600m bitumen driveway, steep at first then a gentle climb up the side of the ridge. The driveway was impacted by the flooding rains over 2022 summer which blocked drains and eroded the edges in places. Happily the road is now repaired.

Amazing top of the world
The view, amazing breathtaking you feel on top of the world. Serena is absolutely lovely and her friendly dog stayed with us for the night 😊 We enjoyed the fire as well Staying again soon This part was us 😂but we drove right up the drive way For site one this is our tip It’s only Aprox 250 meters up the drive way stop look to your left and u will see the sign It is a sharp turn but manageable Enjoy this special spot

Up in the trees
It was our first night in our new hybrid van and we loved the Seaview Terrace at Binalong Retreat. It was a good test for the van as we got 120 ml of rain overnight but you’re high and dry at Serena’s and the changing views across the vista as the weather rolled in were beautiful. Friendly Pepper, Serena’s social dog spent a lot of time with us and we enjoyed his company. He’s a well mannered pooch which we appreciated. We also enjoyed the vast array of bird life and it feels like you’re up in the trees with them as you look out from the terrace.

Awesome view and the host, Serena was just amazing. I shared my campsite with her lovely dog pepper and he was the most well behaved dog i’ve ever met. If you’re not a dog person, she was more than happy to keep them locked up. 10/10 would stay again!!

As always, Serena and Pepper dog are welcoming to their lovely little hideaway. We love the sea view pitch! So peaceful just us, the bird song and a stunning view! We’ll definitely be back 😊

Perfect, private spot to camp!
Serena the host, was so friendly and welcoming. She wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay and we were very grateful she extended our stay for one more night at very short notice. The pitch was perfect! The view over the landscape out to the sea, but also the privacy. We didn’t see a soul and it was so peaceful. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

I had a wonderful night at Serina’s place. The view was second to none and the site very well maintained and location very easy to find. Great communication with owner, let me have an early check in. Right near the rail trail and the beautiful town of Burringbah
