Dog Friendly, Great Views!
Good stay, great mountain views, feels remote but is pretty close to Alamogordo just in case. Got a nice fire going with some wood we bought in town. Be prepared for sand and wind - we were tent camping with two dogs (also they are dog-friendly!) and high winds blew sand all night long. Of course the weather cannot be controlled, so just be prepared.

I brought my wife here for our honeymoon and we loved our night camping out in the desert! The view from the site is gorgeous and we really appreciated having a porta-potty on site. We would definitely camp here again in the future!

The site was exactly as advertised. This is a perfect spot to enjoy the peace and beauty of the desert landscape! It's very easy to communicate with Regan.

This was a gorgeous spot. The stars and sunsets were incredible. Of the beaten path which we love. There was a cargo train that passed by a couple of times! We would definitely stay again.

Safe Boondocking
We love to boondock. Red Rock Retreat was far enough from the interstate to feel like you were out far from everyone and everything. The stars were amazing. No lights anywhere. We had a peaceful nights rest and felt safe. Regan answered all our questions and enough let us know the weather for the night. We would definitely stay here again. No water or hook up, but everything we needed.
