Its dark, try to setup your camp before the sunsets. No light pollution unless there is a full moon. We are a primitive site with safe well water drawn from a sandstone bed. Walking distance to National Forest and 8 miles from Cloudcroft. Free-roaming horses, elk, mule deer, whitetail, turkey, and all critters in between. Awesome sunsets and perfect for stargazing.
We absolutely loved our camping trip to Ms. Dupree's land. She is so welcoming and the land was so beautiful. We definitely recommend this site and will be returning!
We really enjoyed how peaceful of a stay we had at Depree's. She was so welcoming and would highly recommend anyone looking for am amazing place to camp in the area to stay here. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful land for a few days.
I loved camping in Depree’s land. Depree was super helpful and kind, and was very informative and interesting to talk to. The land was also wonderful, I would go back in a heartbeat.
My wife and I went and loved it. Lots of wild horses and animals around. You could heard elk all night long. It’s also a nice area to explore. Depree was one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We will definitely be returning someday!
