10 acres hosted by Jonah R.
Under cultivation for the last 8 years, the permacultural designed herb gardens, green house and outdoor living areas are continually expanding and richening this pristine landscape.
Learn more about this land:
Glamp in this 10 acre herbal sanctuary in a beautifully decored 19' bell tent complete with Persian rugs and electricity. The spacious outdoor kitchen and gardens are just steps away. Glampers have access to the bathroom and shower in the house, the gardens for roaming, the outdoor kitchen and the fire circle.
The outdoor kitchen is a wonderful event space. Cooking is on a raised stone cook fire. There is electricity, cafe lights, hot pot, sink with running water (pure and delicious well water for drinking), chairs, counter space and two picnic tables. Bring your own cooler as there is no fridge here. There is a brook and seasonal waterfall through the woods at the far east of our property, and a 30 acre pristine reservoir just on the other side of the neighbor's field which you are welcome to explore around or meditate by (no swimming, fishing or boating allowed there though!). Follow 2 miles of circuitous labyrinthine forest trails if you don't plan to get anywhere, or branch off into a network of snowmobile/atv trails that go all the way to Canada!
The Soul Glade is described as an enchanting, sublime, deeply peaceful, nourishing and magical place.
If you are a medicinal herb lover you may have the chance to connect with Jonah and go on an herb walk through her gardens and visit her on-site apothecary which carries hundreds of bulk herbs, tinctures and teas made here in the glade.
If you are a woodworking enthusiast, you may have the opportunity to connect with master carver and furniture maker Jeffrey S. Roberts or even coordinate with him for a custom-tailored lesson.
THINGS TO DO
There are SO many fun things to do in the region. Here are a few of our favorites:
Pollards Mills swimming hole is just 7 minutes away. People drive far for this epic place to swim with deep pools, diving spots and more expansive paddling areas for young ones. Slack Falls is 10 minutes away and offers a shadier quieter swimming hole and waterfall in a nearby forest.
Gunnison Lake is 12 minutes away, a gorgeous locals' favorite lake with a 3 mile loop trail and sandy swimming spots. Bring your kayak!Gilsum Gorge is 30 minutes away, with many pools meandering down the gorge.
Sugar River Rail Trail is a 10 mile section of well maintained rail trail that follows right along the Sugar River and through a gorgeous covered bridge. This is a great place for bike riding with young ones and fly fishing.
Mount Sunapee is 20 minutes away. One of my fave mountains to hike and also has a summer adventure park if that is your jam.
Lake Sunapee has public boat launches, boat rentals and a public beach.
A bit further afield are Mounts Ascutney, Kearsarge and Monadnock where there are many trails for biking and hiking.
