Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's most treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. The Best Site Ever - Site 7

Just Do It

Believe all of the hype in the reviews - this spot is special. We ran into some fellow campers who were envious that we had secured site 7 before they had a chance - and these folks were experienced Hipcampers. The Sanctuary is full of exploration possibilities and it is run and maintained by fantastic people - don’t think twice about visiting here.

Site 3 - Hemlock Haven

Such a magical, beautiful place to camp! And the host and his family were wonderful, kind and very hospitable and available for nice chats and recommendations! We will return!

Site 5 - The Big Kahuna

Beautiful views, lots of space, and private. Host gave us a warm welcome and had plenty of information about the area. We plan to return!

Site 6 - Tippy Top

A slice of paradise

My family and I started at site #6 and had the most nourishing time. Our boys especially loved getting to explore the trails, sunbathe under the trees, and have fun being their pawfect selves 😊.This sanctuary is filled with so much love, beautiful secret trails, and lots of thoughtful touches! We drove to our site with our wrangler and highly recommend (and support) the need for 4wd! It rained while we were there but it did not get in the way of a beautiful time! We cannot wait to come again!

This camp is very peaceful, welcoming and very well maintained. We have camped here several times now at different sites and every time we have had a wonderful experience.
