I recently bought this place to realize my dream of owning land and sharing it with like-minded people. I have fallen madly in love with it already and I’m just getting started! I have cleared space for a great campsite to maintain privacy and river access for all. Looking forward to you falling in love with it too!Pitch your tent by your own PRIVATE river and campsite! Access to a fire ring. Short walking distance down a red paver path (careful of the occasional wobbly paver!) and along the river. Close to Bear Brook state park (largest state park in NH) where there are plenty of hiking trails and lakes to explore. 15 minutes or so from the Pawtuckaway park with trails and rock climbing. EVO climbing gym in Concord 20 min away and a trampoline park if the weather turns unbearable! Great local restaurant the Lazy lion is 15 min away for some delicious cuisine!

Everything you need

Briana was extremely sweet and welcoming. The tent spot was the perfect size for 2 half dome tents, and they’re close enough to everything that if we forgot or ran out of a supply it was a 5 minute walk or drive. The trail to the site was well maintained and the tent site was as well.

The sound of the stream and the croaking frogs were very nice. I saw a very big toad and some minnows in the morning. There was a lot of wildlife.

Chickweed's Favorite

Reserved chickweed’s favorite same day via instant book. The place was easy to find, even after dark and the site is beautiful, right next to a babbling brook. Although it is right off the main road and a short walk from her house, it feels very secluded. There is a fair amount of traffic noise but that settles out as it gets later. Would definitely recommend as long as you’re not seeking a “middle of nowhere” experience.

Great privacy

Very private place, a little noisy with the road and the frogs nearby but a lot of privacy. Cell signal is not the best at the site but it's decent when you get closer to the road. Instructions were perfect!

Nice stay at Chickweed camp

Briana immediately responded to confirm our booking. We wanted to be close to the Bear Brook State Park and this spot met our need. Also nice to not have other campers close by! As others commented, the street is close, so it doesn't give you the most remote feel, but we were aware of it from other reviews. Traffic calmed down over night, so we had a good nights sleep nevertheless. The dogs enjoyed the river. Just to be aware, the lake is very close and is standing water, so we made sure our dog stayed on the river side. Mosquitos weren't as bad as expected given the standing water, but we used bug spray and mosquito nets.
