Journey down our property across a footbridge to camp in the sweet secluded woods on the river. Campsite is accessed by foot only - an easy 5 min walk from parking. We can provide a wagon for hauling gear. Guests are welcome to use our outdoor shower next to our house - hot and cold water available! Bucket toilet in privacy tent at your site. Fresh eggs and flowers for sale at the farmstand! Firewood sold across the street. Let us know ahead of time and we’ll stock your fire pit and have it ready. 300 acres of wooded trails across the street for hiking - some leading to the Brentwood rec center with a playground and soccer fields. ***Please note! They sadly sold the farmland across the river and are undergoing construction on a development. It is not directly in your view but you may hear the noises, generally only during weekdays but no guarantees!

Riverfront Tent Camping

Private site on Beautiful Land!

Meredith and Joe’s land was just what we needed for a weekend camping trip. We were greeted by Joe when we arrived. He gave us clear directions to the site. The site was clean and manicured, with a couple of options of flat areas for our tent. The site is secluded from view of their home, shady but with plenty of sunny spots if that’s what you want, and a short distance from where you park your car. Even the composting toilet was private…on it’s own little path off the site. Meredith and Joe provide a wagon for transporting your camping gear to the site. This definitely came in handy for us. Thank You! The floating dock was perfect for fishing and enjoying nature. The outdoor shower availability was such an added bonus that we were so grateful for. It’s private, clean, and a short distance from the site. Meredith and Joe clearly love their home and the land it’s on, as everything is so well taken care of. Thank You for making our Hipcamp experience a wonderful one.

Riverfront Tent Camping

Lovely spot

Nice spot under the trees and near the brook ! We really enjoyed the calm, wildness and the hot shower near the house. Actually the only inconvenient of this spot is the distance between the camp spot and where you park. Thanks Joe and Meredith !

Riverfront Tent Camping

Meredith and Joe were very communicative, helpful, and warm hosts! Their dog, River, is an absolute sweetheart as well. The camp spot is secluded on the riverfront, and the surrounding land is beautiful. The cart to bring our gear in was very helpful, and the full jug of potable water at the site was much appreciated! All-in-all a great experience!

Riverfront Tent Camping

Tent camping at Bear + Bird Homestead was fantastic! Walk down to the site is beautiful and there is plenty of space on the site to set up your tent(s). This location is a certified wildlife habitat, and during our stay we saw butterflies, various birds, and baby rabbits to name a few :) Highly recommend staying here during Summer

Riverfront Tent Camping

Really cute property! You head through the backyard and over a small bridge to camp by the river in a clearing under pine trees. Definitely recommend getting the firewood bundle! Bugs were kinda bad but it was mid-summer - Clear away pine needles around the fire ring or it will spread - Bathroom is a pop up tent with a ‘composting toilet’ Cute space!
