Lost in a field of sage brush
We had an extremely difficult time finding this site. We spend a lot of time off road with dispersed camping, and even then our experience nor the hosts directions were helpful in finding the site. We strongly recommend 4 wheel drive when wet, as the road to the property has many washouts, big dips and mounds. Once we found the pin the host gave us, there was a run down structure and many old campers and trailers in the area. These navigation issues, coupled with the fact that we could not find any area clear of sage brush (that wasn’t the road) ultimately led us to decide to stay at a hotel in town instead.

For me this was a perfect pull over primitive overnight stop from being on the road. Wide open space, clear starry skies, sage brush wafting through the air constantly. Definitely recommend four-wheel-drive. Also note faint noise of the freeway and a few freight trains going by, but for me, that was not a problem at all.. I felt calm safe and rested here.

I could not find this place. I spent an hour driving all over dusty dirt roads and covered my truck and dust and the GPS directions were just completely confusing. As a single female, traveling alone, I did not feel safe whatsoever way out here with dilapidated house is falling down completely. It might have potential, but it’s not there yet. I’ve been trying to get a refund and have been unable to although the host completely understood my concerns, and was very responsive, I’m still unable to get a refund either through Hipcamp or the host. I never give a negative review, so hopefully something positive can come out of this for others

The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, as I had several questions.
