Long Life Ranch
Long Life’s secluded location was perfect for me. I needed some time away from everything and this was the perfect place. The wide open space, sounds of the night, and rolling hills were good medicine for me. I would love to return one day.

Nice spot, need better description
This is a really neat spot, but the directions could be better as well as the host's communication. He did reply once but not to my second inquiry. The GPS will take you directly to a spot but it doesn't match the directions. I could not find any cattle guard nor road. There is large rock fire ring so it does look like a camping spot but some additional clarification from the host and maybe a sign would help make it clear that you are in the right spot.

I have very mixed feelings about the location. To be fair, given the instructions, I'm not sure we got to the right place. We made it as far as the cow grates and turned right but the "driveway" was a long road that led up to a fork in the road on a mountain. It was all very confusing and frustrating. I don't believe we ever made it to the correct site and ended up pitching a tent on the side of the "driveway". Luckily the land was flat but there were so many cow pies it was impossible to avoid. Overall, I would have appreciated the heads up about the cow pies and clearer instructions on how to arrive including how long the drive up the driveway should be and what the final destination looks like.

Desert Paradise
What a beautiful spot, especially if you love sagebrush. I came from Crescent Valley and found the drive to be closer to 9 miles on Hilltop Rd (rather than 7-8). Didn't see another person or another car in that canyon the entire time- amazing with the full moon.

Where is this camping site?
Unfortunately I was never able to find the camping site even after reaching out to Andrew! Otherwise the area is very beautiful, however it all looked like private property.

Long Life Ranch
Near nothing
This spot was in the middle of nowhere. I am not opposed to the middle of nowhere, but I found this place really hard to get to and incredibly remote. The directions were ok, but not exact, making it challenging to be sure we were in the right spot. I was pulling a small trailer. There was no way I could pull that up the “driveway”. We stayed on the apron and it was fine, smelled like sage, and weathered a lightening storm without issue. It was super remote to just get a side of the road pull out.
There are no visible amenities in Crescent Valley. Be sure to top off and get water in Battle Mountain.
If you like remote, quiet, off the beaten path and a good 45 minutes from the interstate, this is perfect. Tent campers might be able to get up the driveway and enjoy more of the land.
