Thank you Stacey!
Me and me 16 year old son enjoyed our stay at Stacy's. Stacy is a great host and communicated with me early on the day of arrival to make sure my entry was smooth. It is a beautiful location and waking up to Alpacas roaming around is a unique wonderful experience. If your in the area I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Great Experience
We loved camping on Stacey’s land. It was beautiful and the animals were such a fun touch to camping. It was easy to find and close for visiting Lake Tahoe.

Alpaca oasis!
My friends and I had an incredible time with the alpacas (honorable mentions: donkey, llama, pig, and sheep)! They are the cutest creatures and we had so much fun feeding, petting, and just being in their presence. The animals often came by our site to say hello! The porta potty was clean and there was a convenient hand washing station. The ranch store was a cute self-serve spot with farm fresh eggs, honey, alpaca fur items, and souvenirs. Overall, it was a unique and entertaining experience for everyone and we hope to return!

Best Hipcamp Ever!
Our stay at Stacy's ranch was the highlight of our 10-day road trip! Stacy was quick to respond to any questions we had before our arrival, and once we got there, she was incredibly welcoming, making us feel like part of her family. We even had fun trying (unsuccessfully) to help her catch one of the pigs, which made for a memorable experience. We can’t say enough good things about our time here and are already planning our next trip back!

Great place especially if you just want to relax away from the city. Mornings are beautiful specially if your in a tent and the alpacas come right up to you around 5am.

Camping Amongst Alpacas! 🦙
We were headed to Carson City for the weekend for the Bonanza KC dog show & came across Stacey’s ranch while looking for safe places to stay at. And we were in for a treat! This has to be the most fun Hipcamp site we’ve stayed at yet. Stacey’s ranch has two open fields where we were allowed to find a spot and park on, & we chose a spot close to the little store, which conveniently came with a picnic table. I specifically chose a spot away from other campers, especially since they also had dogs, & I don’t allow my dog to interact with other’s unknown dogs.
Stacey greeted me warmly upon arrival & walked me through everything as well as showed me her gorgeous herd of alpacas! I had to support her extra of course and got some cute keepsakes (an alpaca wool plush, an alpaca wool pen, & stickers) to take home.
Stacey was very accommodating with the check-in time as I had to be at the dog show for my ring time in the early afternoon! I ended up checking in around the early evening & made it just in time to hang out with the alpacas & watch the sunset. My husband came later that night & we sat & enjoyed the beautiful constellations overhead.
Sleeping in our rooftop tent was perfect for this site. The LGDs did their jobs very well at night, but if you’re not used to working dogs, their barking might disrupt your sleep.
In the morning, we scooped a cup of pellets to feed the alpacas and that was the cutest experience. I highly recommend staying on Stacey’s land! We’ll be back!
