All to yourself

We have a very cool .5 mile nature trail that goes through an amazing tree line leading back to a viewing area with an amazing, magical giant Cottonwood Tree. Just completed a meditation labyrith that you'll want to catch around the time of a sunset! We also have chickens, horses, cats and dogs to visit while you are here. There is also an orchard, creeks, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets to enjoy! Not to mention the beautiful night sky! (Please note: The horses we foster are here August - May. They spend the summer at a non-profit kids camp in Ashland.) We also have a picnic table and campfire site for your use.Just 10 minutes north of the I-80 corridor, north of Lincoln, Nebraska, this serene camping spot is located in a shaded, wooded alcove which gives you adequate privacy for a quick, overnight visit, or a longer, relaxing visit stay.  We have a picnic table and fire pit at the campsite that is perfect for cooking hotdogs, s’mores, and sharing scary night-time stories!  We also have a very unique nature trail that winds along the length of our property, wrapping back around to a beautiful, magnificent Cottonwood tree.  The Trail and the Tree are two things that must be experienced in person - pictures really do not do them justice!  We also have very friendly yellow labs who love new people, free-ranging chickens and a couple friendly horses for you to pet and spend time with (if you’d like!).  If you are staying more than one night, we also have a 6-7 person hot tub up at the house for your relaxation and enjoyment.  Whether you are a sunrise enthusiastic or a sunset lover, you will have both in a very picturesque Nebraska hobby farmstead setting!

Weekend in the Woods in NE
22 ft travel trailer
We loved the large beautiful campsite nestled off to the side in the trees!! The trail through the trees around their property was a fun hike! We enjoyed the tour Mark gave us around the property and introducing us to the horses they board; Dean, Sugar and Faith! We especially enjoyed the composting toilet! No joke!! We are looking forward to a trip back to check out the progress on the tree house and all additions Mark adds :) The farm fresh eggs were delicious too! Highly recommend staying at Rockcreek Retreet!!

Tent · With pets
We spent one night here as we were driving through Nebraska. Our tent camping was a little dampened by rain showers (our shoes and camping equipment got quite muddy), but Jamie and Mark were very welcoming and gave a little tour of the property despite the rain. The campsite is very private, safe, and quiet; there's a clean outhouse a short walk from the site. Thought the two cats that stopped by were also very sweet and adorable.

Jamie and her farm were great! The campsite had everything I needed: firepit, picnic table, chairs, electric hookup. Jamie made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Her dogs Gunner and Blue were very friendly and sweet. The trails that wind through the trees on the property were so fun and an adventure for my dog. Thank you and your family for sharing your farm and providing great hospitality!
