Tobie Creek Corner borders Flathead National Forest just at the corner of Tally Lake Road and Tobie Creek Road (NF-2924), roughly 0.8 miles from Farm to Market Road. This site is nice and quiet and remote, but still easily accessed from town. There is mountain biking and hiking access right off the property, including access to Tally Lake overlook trail and Stovepipe trails, and the Lake is under 8 miles from the site. We also have a local fishing spot nearby just up Tobie Creek Road - a small lake stocked with trout and pike. This is an RV site only, no tent camping unless you plan to bring a compost toilet bucket with you. There are no amenities on this site, and you must bring water and a toilet with you. Dry and split firewood can be purchased just at the bottom of the driveway at 365 Tally Lake Road. This campsite is just 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish, and 45 minutes from the entrance of Glacier National Park. The site is remote and quiet bordering National Forest land. The RV site is on loose gravel on a relatively flat driveway. There is a basic fire ring on the north side of the site which can be used for fires unless local agencies have put out fire restrictions (typically in aug or sept). Plenty of trees to hang a hammock from, and a simple picnic table as well. If you walk up Tobie Creek Road you will find access to a fishing hole (you can see this in the aerial photo/map in the photos section), hiking, and biking trails that are accessible by National Forest land. It’s nice an quiet up there. Tally Lake is just up the road. It’s the deepest lake in Montana and it’s remoteness means it’s still a fun, quiet, place to swim, fish, boat, or paddle. Please be aware that this is a remote area., and there is NO CELL RECEPTION at the site. Please plan accordingly and save your driving directions before you leave cell service. :)

Tobie Creek Corner
Enjoyed the solitude of the location. Just a short drive to White Fish. Drove about 5 miles in to Tally Lake from campsite. The nearby gravel road did stir up some dust, but it wasn’t a problem. Very quiet night of sleeping out in the woods without traffic noise 👍🏻. Excellent driving directions. Would consider stopping here again if we come back from Canada on 93S.

Cute and clean Tally lake campsite!
PROS: This site was perfect for my solo camping trip with a tent, it would work well with a small camper too. There was wood already at the site, a firewood stand nearby, a fire pit, flat tent area and nice picnic table all exactly per the description. Easy to find, site is marked with a cute little sign. 15 min to whitefish downtown area, 20 min to the city beach access, 15 min to Tally lake ($5 day access thru the campsite area at the lake which has a nice launch for paddle boards, kayaks, small boats.). The state campgrounds for both whitefish/tally are typically booked out for ALL of Summer fyi so this is THE PERFECT site to be central for access to both lakes. LOTS of mountain biking, dirt biking and hiking trails nearby. CONS: There is NO privacy at this site, main roads are on both sides along with homes in the area/other privately owned sites. My stay wasn’t in peak season (late June) but the road to tally lake was HIGHLY trafficked, 7-10 cars an hour if not more until at least 10pm if not later on the weekend which kicked up a LOT of dirt road dust. Not an issue if you plan on not being at the site much. OVERALL AWESOME camp area, I’ll definitely be back as it’s centrally located to all the outdoor fun this area offers! **No cell svc. as stated but however on Kuhns road just a few minutes from the site there is a little pit to park in with perfect cell svc (verizon)

Quiet and Peaceful.
Brads site was fantastic, was close to a river (about a 10 minute drive up the tally road, also close to tally lake campground, if you want lake access.) Very peaceful and quiet, with lots of beautiful birds. Definitely recommend bringing lots of bug spray as the mosquitos get bad in the evening (to be expected out here), and bring extra layers for the mornings as it was quite chilly but other than that it was amazing!

Highly Recommend!
Lovely spot! Quiet, secluded, surrounded by trees. Fairly flat and even so it’s great for RV’s, campers, and tents. Backing in/out isn’t too tight. Very easy booking and we liked that you’re able to just show up and not have to check in with anyone or anything like that. Unless you do what we did and somehow misinterpret the directions and end up at their house (sorry about that). Which if that does happen they are very kind!

This did not work for us.
I have asked for my payment to be returned. There is no way our 26’ bumper could get into the camping slip. Road is very dusty. Camp spot is near the road and dust migrated right into the camp. The owner helped us by phone get to the location since it is off the beaten path. But when we found we would not fit our calls were not answered. We did get a text offering another choice but by then we had reserved another place real close to Whitefish. It takes 30+ minutes to get to town. Ad says 15. It just didnt work for us. We feel the advertisement is erroneous and we bit for it. Still no word on our request for reimbursement. (2 nights)
