Better than all the rest!
You know that feeling when you find a new hiking trail, you reach the top of the summit, the sun is setting and you stand there for a moment completely stunned by what you just discovered?
Yeah… you’ll get that same feeling when you arrive at the Hohnstead.
But wait… there’s more.
When you arrive, and you meet Garrett and Alla, that’s when you realize this place is a Friggin hidden gem. These two are incredible. They have put so much thought into creating an experience like no other.
There is nothing better than being surrounded by nature, having the privacy to do whatever the hell you want, while also having the option to chill with good people, or soak in a hot tub under the stars.
Seriously, this place deserves 6 stars. I most definitely will be returning. I’m totally going to crush the scavenger hunt they’ve set up for their guests and I’ve been craving more of Garrett’s home brewed beer.
If one of their spots are available, book it! You won’t regret it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the A-Frame for 3 nights. We had an amazing time! The hosts were super friendly and helpful with recommendations about the area. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Absolutely amazing place! The property as well as the owners are incredible. You truly feel like you’re on your own secluded little planet of beauty. My husband and I stopped by for a quick stay last week and cannot say enough how much we loved it! Alla and Garrett were so so kind and fun to talk to and share stories with. The A frame was beautiful and so unique, and the bathroom & commons were awesome and perfectly equipped. The hot tub was just the icing on the cake! Also do yourself a favor and do the scavenger hunt when visiting. It’s so fun and a great way to explore the property. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back someday!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hohnstead! The A-Frame had the perfect balance of a remote wilderness feeling tucked away in the woods, but with modern amenities (dare I say, necessities?!) just steps away - a full kitchen, flushing toilet, outdoor shower & lovely hot tub under the stars! Alla & Garrett are super welcoming and they were very helpful in advance as we planned our itinerary, and in the extras they provide on site - we took advantage of a few rentals to check out a nearby lake and float the river (highly recommend on a hot Summer day!) and it was all a seamless experience. The scavenger hunt on the property was a fun bonus for us to explore and get our steps in without having to drive anywhere! We also brought our pup who had an equally awesome time enjoying the outdoors :) All in all, 100% recommend for a unique & relaxing stay!
