Small irrigated ranch in the Deer Lodge Valley, surrounded by mountains, access to public lands and beautiful scenery. East side of acreage has the Clark Fork River running through it, even though the neighbors are close still lots of privacy. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent or park your RV on a very basic flat field with 360 views all around, 7 miles from Deer Lodge, MT. Small fire pit, not great but available for guests unless fireban is on during dry conditions short drive to several acres of public ground, ATV access, hiking, and mountain biking and fishing This is an 80-acre working ranch with cows, irrigation and hay so you may have to drive through the cows and there will be cowpies :-). Great cell service and private property on both sides, easy access to campsite. 10-minute drive to historic Grant Kohrs Ranch, old prison museum and many other unique Montana experiences.Very basic, flat meadow, can park, and camp anywhere, there is an old metal tire ring for a fire if you want when fire restrictions are off. This pasture site at times is used for cattle and horse grazing, there will be cowpies scattered throughout.

Couldn't walk outside without stepping in cow pies. Fire pit was surrounded by poop. No place to set up tent. Went to a LA Quinta down the road instead.

Not for us
Got there late, directions were good but when we entered the pasture there were cow patties EVERYWHERE. Couldn't find a spot to put a tent. Didnt want my dogs eating it, so we just left.

Super easy to access. The view in the morning is spectacular! It’s really neat being so close to the cows as well. Would recommend

The sign to Sites 1 and 2 could be better. We missed it and stayed in their yard as no one was present.

Super easy access. Quiet. Pleasant views. Secluded. For the price it beats staying at state campground for sure. Stayed twice and will do it again.
