5 acres hosted by Nathaniel B.
This wildlife oasis exists less than 2 miles south of historic Stevensville, Montana, along the famed Mitchell Slough (no slough access is permitted). The camp site sits a nearly vertical 40’ above the slough, from which campers can watch as monster brown trout slurp tiny flies at the waters’ edge. Sunsets and views of the Bitterroot Mountains are sure to impress, as thousands of acres of Bitterroot River bottom to your immediate west are forever protected from any development and obstruction by a conservation easement. While staying on the property, one should anticipate many visitors in the form of whitetail deer, quail, pheasant, a huge heard of resident elk, and every conceivable form of waterfowl. In town, visitors will find two great breweries, a distillery, numerous other bars, two grocery stores, 3 gourmet restaurants, a multitude of other eateries, three gas stations, a number of quaint shops, a handful of small cafes, two hardware stores, and innumerable other amenities. The Bitterroot Valley is home to great skiing, blue ribbon trout fishing, exceptional elk hunting, trophy mule deer, multiple wilderness areas, hundreds of trail heads, multiple hot springs, and is also where the hit tv series Yellowstone is filmed!
