RV Site with Expansive Views
Very far off the beaten path. Took us a long time after getting off the main road. to find. The expansive view is a cow pasture. This is a farm, definitely not a “campground.”

This campground was wonderful and the staff are so nice. We loved the animals and the outside kitchen was a great added amenity. The goats were my favorite! We didn’t end up staying at the RV spot but in a more secluded primitive campsite. We were tent camping with an electric vehicle so being plugged in wasn’t necessary, just as an extra precaution which we didn’t end up needing, but grateful it was there! Can’t wait to go back!

This is a working farm. It's peaceful and has some great views of the valley. Especially this time of year with the fall foliage. The river access and the rock hunting is amazing. Elizabeth is easy going and a great host. This was our 2nd time staying there and we will return again. Probably the same weekend next year....

Beyond amazing experience!
Hawks Bluff is a magical spot. As a solo camper, I appreciated so many things hawks bluff accommodated. Firstly, I felt safe. I was welcomed and encouraged to reach out if I needed anything. Being comfortable, I was fully able to enjoy myself. Secondly, everyone was very friendly and I had the opportunity to be social. It was fall festival weekend so I’m guessing it was more social than others but I was also able to connect to some really kind, fun folks. This was really nice being included because I came alone- I feel like I left with now knowing some really amazing people. I was also able to enjoy my alone time rock hunting, hiking, biking, saying hi to the horses or just relaxing at my campsite. Elizabeth and her farm hands went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I also found some amazing rocks- Elizabeth lives in such an amazing spot I am so grateful she has shared for others to enjoy. I couldn’t have imagined a better weekend and it exceeded my expectations. Showers were clean and warm. Toilets were clean and always had toilet paper. Firewood is a few bucks and they delivered to my campsite. I highly recommend this spot for solo campers, families, and everyone in between. I am absolutely returning and will forever be thankful for this experience!

Helpful And Hospitable Hosts!
This place was awesome! They let you set your tent up pretty much wherever you’d like, so you can have as much privacy as you want and be as close to the main house as you’d like. The bathrooms are composting toilets which don’t smell and were well kept. The land itself has lots of really cool stuff! I was able to pet a mule and a goat while I was there, and spotted some rocks (though you can’t take them home unless you have them priced, which is understandable). I saw other reviews about dogs barking — yes, the dogs bark, and the mules moo and the goats baa, but that’s part of it being a farm and I didn’t find it too distracting.
Lastly, the folks here are very hospitable. My car wouldn’t start and a very nice man gave me a jump, and also offered to come do it again if I got stuck on my way home. They gave me directions to the nearest auto shop and were great. You truly can’t beat the price and they’re very accommodating for whatever you need. I’ll definitely stay here again!
