This is our family land, traditionally used as a weekend escape from the bustle of St. Louis. The camping spot is seldom-used, on the banks of the Meramac and directly across from the Island: Sand and gravel, fast and slow water, and offers swimming, fishing, sunbathing, and picnicing. This spot offers shady and flat camping spots, and is isoloted and private. Dappled shade provided by birch and oak trees. Expect to be serenaded by various species of birds.

    Island Overlook - Red Table
    The campsite was very spacious and allow all of us to have room to play games and enjoy the site. With the river being so close, the kids had fun swimming. Shallow water was also available in case we had any smaller kids. We will definitely be returning and planning a float trip

    Beautiful spot. I was only there for a quick overnight stay while traveling, but I would definitely come back as it was a beautiful spot.
