No host involvement; beautiful rive
Communication was lacking. We never got ahold of the host despite hipcamp messages, texts, and a voicemail. The road to the site was intense for our long set up (44' fifth wheel) as it curves and changes elevation several times. We originally chose spot 22 but when we arrived, realized that would be snug with campers (different property with RVs) right behind us. We switched to spot 25 which was more open and level. The river access was great--we enjoyed our own private river play area with our kids. Super quiet location as all of the other RVs parked there were empty, as well as the few houses nearby. I am sure the vibe changes during peak season but first week of October was great.

OK place.
This campground has monthly and daily sites. The daily sites are all out in the open with full hookups. Price was fair and it is a short walk to the Current River with swimming and fishing, etc. Reason for OK review instead of great is the drive to get there. It is over 1.5 miles down a narrow (an I mean narrow road). Most of the road is paved, but a lot of places are not wide enough for an RV or Trailer to pass a car in the opposite direction. Cars had to back up and get in a driveway.

Great place- nice gravel bar.
This place was great! Host were very friendly. They even offered to let us borrow kayaks. We didn’t take them up on but what a nice gesture! Place is very quiet, well kept. The gravel is close enough to walk but you could take a truck or SXS down there. Plenty of room on all of the sites except for 21. That one seemed layed out weirdly.
Location is great, only a couple miles to van buren, mostly paved road.
I would only say the price was a bit high considering there are no picnic tables, fire pits or public restrooms. Maybe those are not needed since the sites are full hook up, but I do feel the price should be adjusted down a bit.
Overall, we were very happy and plan to stay again.

Great location and pretty quiet for having a couple dozen (ish) spaces out there. The dogs enjoyed getting to play in the river just a short walk from the camping spots. power water and sewer hookups all current and worked great. Google maps did get us directly to the property with out issue.
