Greetings! My home is located in downtown Columbia and is within a few minutes walk of the MKT trail. The trail connects to multiple trails in Columbia and to the Katy Trail. Flat Branch Creek, Hinkson Creek, and Twin Lakes (fishing, swimming) are all available via the trails from the house. Downtown Columbia is 15 minutes walk away so you can enjoy great local restaurants and cafes while you are here. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, near Stewart Park. The campsite is nestled in a cozy corner of the yard bordered by the back hedges, the detached garage, and the vegetable garden.Enjoy a cozy and secluded grass spot for a tent, in the backyard at the Columbia MKT Guest House!
Watch the deer in the backyard, harvest vegetables from the garden and get to the extensive trail system in Columbia with just a short walk or bike. Walk downtown for dinner, drinks, or coffee - it's a 15 minute walk from the property. The MKT trail in Columbia connects to the Katy Trail.
Enjoy cooking on the fire pit over the grate. We always have brush to burn but not always fire wood, but you’re welcome to use whatever brush/firewood is here.
Since we are located on a main road in the heart of Columbia, there can be some traffic noise during the day and into the evening, especially on weekends. The campsite is at the back of the property, secluded from view from the road by trees and the detached garage, but there may be some noise or light pollution since we are in town. We also have a bee hive located behind the garden nearby the campsite.
