Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Country living in the city. Oversized, eight acre lot on the old channel of the Tombigbee River. Lot is situated on the Island in downtown Columbus. Lot sits in a bend that has beautiful and rare, long views of the river. Floating dock attached to a 40' gangway that walks into the gazebo at the top. Would normally have to drive to a rural area for this kind of experience.The Island. Downtown Columbus. Eight acres of land on the river; security gate and is very private. Giant gazebo that's partially covered. Walking distance to the pedestrian bridge, Riverwalk, Soccerplex, Farmers Market, historic Southside, and soon-to-be-open amphitheater.

Gorgeous property, lots of room to enjoy, easy access to the river with kayaks. Dog-friendly, campfire-friendly.... there was a giant pile of firewood left for us. Would love to go back there again and spend longer.

The campsite was very overgrown in the pictures. It looked like it had been mowed, but it hasn’t been mowed lately. I would’ve felt safe and secure sleeping there overnight, but the family talked me into staying at their place.

Group trip

This was our second Hipcamp adventure and it did not disappoint! Stuart contacted us almost immediately to let us know a couple ammenties were not there at the moment because of the recent flooding. He reassured us that there was plenty of high ground that was not wet and even offered the gazebo just in case. He recommended a few spots within walking distance to check out while we were in town as well. He was an amazing host! I feel like I should add this just because I would appreciate it when I look at other reviews.... being a light sleeper (sucks when you want to camp, i know) there were a few boat/fog? horns during the night. But pop you in some ear plugs and you are good to go. We will be staying there again so obviously it wasnt that bad! Yall go check out this little gem!
