Once a main railway for lumber in Hancock County, this small 24-acre homestead, acquired in 2010, is home to a variety of farm animals, edible landscaping including multiple varieties of fruit trees and small vegetable gardens. Completely wooded at the time of purchase, the farm is still a work in progress. Daily farm life involves upgrading fences, clearing the 5-acre pasture, building animal pens, installing rain catchment systems, composting, harvesting, canning, baking and our favorite....... feeding the furry and feathered friends. Pitch your tent in our wooded acreage nestled along side a flowing creek bed. Relax on the sand and watch the squirrels play or close your eyes to meditate with the sounds of nature. A true primitive camping experience awaits you. You can fish in the pond for your own dinner and gather eggs for breakfast. Try snacking on farm breads and biscuits with homemade jellies. Depending on the season, picking wild blackberries or some of the farm produce available gives a glimpse into the daily life of living at Creekside Farm. Our goal is to provide an unplugged experience for you to unwind and get back to nature so you can release the stress of everyday and enjoy the nature and serenity of our little farm. Inquire about homesteading classes and our bi annual homesteading festival. Classes are on Saturday mornings in January/February. The festival is a small but super packed event in the fall and spring each year. Creekside Farm Co. Homestead
We stayed 10/16/2024 and absolutely loved the atmosphere. There is lots of space to set up camp and the sites are well placed apart. The creek walk was relaxing and enjoyable. We brought two dogs and there was no issues. Lots to do and would recommend to stay multiple days. The owners were welcoming and informative. We will definitely be returning. We found our new place to camp and relax

Second Visit and More Impressed!
Our first visit was in 2021, and we had such a good time that we decided to return, because Creekside has just enough amenities for a perfect tent camping getaway. My group of friends are in our 40’s-50’s and we like to tent camp so we can hang out by a camp fire on a cool evening with the sounds of nature surrounding us, and that’s exactly what Creekside offers. The farm animals, as expected , can be heard at the literal crack of dawn! But they are truly a magical moment alarm clock, because you will then find yourself at that moment lying in your tent bundled up surrounded by all of the other less noisy birds and forest sounds waking up for the day. They quiet down after a bit, so you can get more rest if you need it. On Sundays, you can get biscuits delivered, and they are delicious. Be sure to order at least 2 per person! Also, the yummy homemade jellies, made by the super friendly camp host Alicia, are worth the calories! This camp location offers a nice area for a short hike, especially near the creek. For a fun daytime activity, bring a water resistant type of blanket, pack a picnic basket to sit on one of the sand bars, and you can go watch the creek trickle by while having lunch or a snack. We were already planning our next visit before we packed up and left! Thanks Alicia for sharing your beautiful property!

Peaceful
Peaceful tent site in the woods. Fairly close to other campers/campsites so you be can hear your neighbors clearly. I didn’t see the advertised creek but maybe it was low? Hasn’t rained much.

Heaven
We had an amazing stay here. It was just perfect for our family of four. We felt safe, welcomed, and simply thrilled while we were on the property. Check in was a breeze and Alicia was a delight. The creek was very nice and the amenities were just right. Anyone one looking to have a relaxing stay in nature should check this spot out.

Great Spot
Overall, we had a great experience. We arrived before any other guests and weren’t thrilled about our assigned campsite. The hosts worked with us to find a solution, which was fantastic! The grounds are well kept, have plenty of amenities, and are spaced out with plenty of room for multiple tents at a single site. Our only caveat is that a prominent chorus of dogs started up around 1am and sang until 5am. Some folks love that genre of music, not even hearing it while they sleep. A few in our party had never heard it before and had a difficult time sleeping throughout the night. All in all, it was a good spot that I would stay again if I was alone.
