We are happy you have taken the time to read our story. It begins with salvaging old barns and repurposing into tiny homes. Our homes our built on the bluffs of the Mississippi and overlook lake Pepin. All houses contain salvaged barnwood from the surrounding area. Each one has a distinct feel from Bohemian to coastal. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and look forward to meeting you.

Bending River Cove Tiny house
Perfect place to get away!
Wow! What can I say that will do justice to this great getaway!? I'm a motorcyclist and have tent-camped on all of my long trips. I LOVE the idea of tent-camping, however, the older I get, the less I am excited about sleeping in a tent; no matter how nostalgic it is appears. WHAT I loved about this place was the fact that I felt like I was camping. Cooper and Kyle's place is LOVELY! Organic, hippy-like place. I felt not just comfortable, BUT right at home! I appreciated the free firewood and the most WONDERFUL outdoor retro-like kitchen. THE camper was perfect. I also enjoyed the animals and made quick friends with the free-range chickens. Lol... I WILL absolutely be visiting - however, make sure you make plans in advance! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful, comfortable, fun
These tiny houses were delightful. We loved everything about it. Our place was stylish and functional. We enjoyed grilling every night and sitting at the campfire. Matt was a great host, very helpful. We look forward to checking all of the houses out!

Bending River Cove Tiny house
August 2020 Review
Bending River Cove Tiny Houses was an overall great experience but there were things we would have liked to have known in advance. The space between houses was closer than expected. It worked out for our group because we rented multiple houses next to one another, and did not have to worry about noise. However, if you have a strangers next to you, noise level could be a concern. The houses are RIGHT off the busy highway, with a train nestled right below the bluff. The train blew its horn multiple times in the middle of the night, so I wouldn't recommend this location for light sleepers/babies. Unfortunately we had a miscommunication for how many houses we were renting. As a result, they over booked and we were short one tiny house. We were able to bunk up on couches, so it worked out, but it wasn't what we originally planned (especially with Covid). We did have to ask for firewood a couple of times before receiving. Overall the house keepers were very polite, apologetic and accommodating. I'd also mention the pictures aren't accurate. There is no hot tub, and there is no couch-like patio furniture. They do provide little charcoal grills and the charcoal. It was a bummer there is no foot access to the river or lake, but we had a lovely time at a park/beach 20 minutes away. There are things to do in the area, just plan on driving. The views are amazing and the houses ended up working-out for our needs.

Beautiful view & house, loud train
The tiny house was really lovely! The hosts were very welcoming and the house was very well kept, and the view was stunning! Our daughter LOVED the tiny house. Our only complaint that we didn’t quite expect, despite knowing it was close to train tracks, was that we didn’t know a train would come through with its train horn blaring every 1-2 hours, even through the night. Our daughter was a heavy sleeper but we were not. So we would rate it as lovely... unless you are a light sleeper.

Unique place!
Overall a great experience! I always wanted to stay in a tiny house and this was the perfect opportunity. I was in the “Love Train“ and appreciated having all the creature comforts while still in an outdoor setting. The houses are all different, the owner built them with salvaged materials and he stopped by to welcome me. Great view of the lake from the deck, I spent a lot of time out there. Denay was helpful from a booking standpoint and the host Katie showed me around when I arrived. The only downside for me was the train horn at night when it passes because there is a car crossing nearby but a set of ear plugs would help. It was everything I needed for a few days. Highly recommended for a nice getaway, I’ll be back 😃
