This cabin was built by hand in the 1970s from white pine that was harvested and milled on-site. Our family purchased and rehabbed this beautiful cabin throughout 2021. Indoor and out, there are so many ways to relax and connect with loved ones during all seasons at Bundo's Cabin. Learn more about this land: Where the forest meets the field. Unplug and relax at Bundo's Cabin with extraordinary views of wildlife and endless outdoor opportunities. The modern yet cozy cabin has electricity and features a front patio, an external outhouse and outdoor rainwater bucket shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a living area, and a sleeping loft with a reading nook. No matter the season, this cabin is a wonderful, cozy, and clean, place to relax and unwind. Feel free to roam around the 10-acre property and explore the 80 acres of state land to the north. Deer, foxes, coyotes, turkeys, owls, eagles and more are likely to be seen or heard. Explore, Banning, Moose Lake, and Father Hennepin State Parks which are all within 30 minutes, and return to the cabin to read, play games, listen to records, have a fire, and relax. The kitchen provides you with everything you need to prepare your meals including a refrigerator, small freezer, stove, oven, cookware, cutting boards, sink, seasonings, oil, and coffee. Water for washing is available from an electric pump faucet in the kitchen, and a brand-new outhouse is located steps from the cabin. The cabin is efficiently heated and cooled with a user-friendly heat pump and gets the cabin to your desired temperature very quickly. We are grateful to honor the Dakota and Anishinaabe people whose land we occupy by donating $10 from every booking to the Makoce Ikikcupi Land Recovery Project. This project is actively working to return the land to the indigenous people from whom it was stolen. Bundo's Cabin in the Woods

Perfect late summer weekend

I loved everything about Bundo's cabin in the woods, but especially how secluded it was. I couldn't hear anything but the wind in the trees and the chittering of the squirrels. Yet it's so close to towns and the state park and lots of cool things to see. The cabin has such a cozy vibe too, i even felt pampered. I will definitely be back!

Bundo's Cabin in the Woods

Clearly a labor of love.

Staying at Bundo's wasn't what I was expecting. It was better! Staying in the cabin for two nights it was clear that Jon put a lot of time, care, and love into the construction and maintenance of this place. It's immediately evident that he rents out the cabin to share the wonders of the outdoors with people, not just to make a quick dollar, which made the stay feel even more special. Great experience. Would definitely stay again sometime.

Bundo's Cabin in the Woods

We loved our stay at Bundo's Cabin! The location was nice and secluded. We enjoyed the table outside the cabin so we could play games and eat our meals outdoors. Our dog loved to roam around on the property! The cabin had cute touches and the record player was fun to listen to different music. The bed was comfortable! We would love to make it back another time!

A little slice of heaven

We had a GREAT time spending a long weekend at Bundo’s Cabin for my 40th birthday!! Myself, my dog & 2 friends spent the weekend enjoying all the space, Banning State Park hiking, cooking, board games, bonfires and the crystal clear starry nights. My dog LOVED all the space to play with his frisbee and it truly was private (I have a reactive dog, so this was really important to me, and it was everything and more)!! Host was super responsive! Everything we needed was there. We can’t wait to come back!

Bundo's Cabin in the Woods

Great stay!

We loved our stay this weekend! My oldest daughter saw a snake (very small), my youngest had a blast playing on the swing, and I really enjoyed listening to the vintage records. Would recommend to anyone who is ok with using an outhouse.
