The Goat Bluff
Great for horses and dogs
Peaceful place on a dead end street. Lovely view overlooking the rolling hills of a picturesque hay field. Deer and wild turkeys visited in the AM and evening. Easy access to the amazing equestrian trails at Hungerford. Mary was very friendly and accommodating.

The Goat Bluff
We had a great overall experience at the Goat Bluff. Mary was so kind and helpful as we were getting set up and the goats are so funny to watch. We would definitely want to stay again if passing through the area.

The Goat Bluff
Perfect Escape to Recharge
What an absolutely wonderful experience we had! First, the setting Mary provides for camping was perfect! Mary and her family were fantastic as well!! You will be tucked up in a corner with a perfect view of the goats (plenty of entertainment there) and a full view of rolling hay fields and woods. There was flexibility in where to set up the RV plus a perfect area to setup a shower/bathroom that was secluded and private. You will get to enjoy plenty of wildlife as we saw fox, deer, sandhill cranes, wild turkeys, and plenty more birds. The goats are let out to wander daily, so you can experience them up close and personal, if you chose. Second, we were located just west of Big Rapids and within an hour to an hour and a half drive from key attractions along Lake Michigan - Big Sable Point Lighthouse & Ludington State Park, Little Sable Point Lighthouse & the town of Mears, plus ample fresh produce/farmers stands with amazing blueberries and cherries. Newaygo State Park was a hidden gem within a half hour and provides more trails plus a disc golf course. Located nearby (5 minutes) is Hungerford Lake and National Forest – tons more trails plus swimming and fishing at your leisure – we spent half a day just floating in inner tubes watching life go by. Additionally, Big Rapids has some lovely local parks and amazing riverwalk – tubing down the Muskegon River is an option. Also, Grand Rapids is just an hour away, with plenty of fun things to do. In a nutshell, if you are in

The Goat Bluff
Great Campsite & Host
The view from the campsite was gorgeous. We were perched on top of the hill overlooking rolling fields. There were multiple places we could have placed our camper. The campsite was grassy and the whole property was extremely well cared for. The host, Mary, was there to greet us, always ccommodating, and very helpful. The goats were hilarious and enjoyable to watch. To have water and electricity and sewer right at the site was fantastic. There is a secluded, mowed spot by the campsite for a privacy/shower tent or camp toilet.
For those people who are active, the Hungerford recreation area, part of the Huron Manistee national forest, was 5 minutes away. With the hiking/mountainbike area and horse trails, there are dozens of miles of hiking. It was some of the prettiest hiking we've done in Michigan.
Since the campsite is located at the end of a dirt road, you feel very secluded and private. We loved our visit, being the only camper in such a beautiful setting has spoiled us. We plan on going back and highly recommend Mary and Goat's Bluff.
