Didn't even get to stay
Did some activities in the area, then around 5 we headed over to Ed's place to camp. The house was open like someone was home. But there was no answer. I called and messaged Ed repeatedly to see where he wanted us to set up camp. We even got out and walked around the property and called out to see if someone was outside. It was getting late and its an hour and a half drive back home. So we decided it was time to head back home after about 30 min. Ed ended up contacting me after I got home and told me his phone was lost all day and he was in the pasture mowing. I told him that was fine and I just wanted a refund, since I wasn't able to stay. Then the excuses started to roll out. He told me he doesn't get any money from being a host and hipcamp gets all the money. I asked him to contact support and he told me there is no way to do refunds or contact support. He also told me that showing up at 6pm for my 2pm reservation was too early.

Camping in Michigan!
We loved our experience at this campsite. It was easy to find, a great location, and had a great host. This farm was a beautiful place to stay with two cute and friendly pups, lots of chickens, and a ton of space to explore. Ed was a great host with plenty of suggestions and tips. There was a beautiful lake 10 minutes away, a nice town 5 minutes one direction, and another 15 minutes away. Our stay couldn’t of been better! : ) felt like home away from home!
