We have a wooded 3 acre lot nestled between the popular vacation destinations of South Haven and Saugatuck. We have one campsite on our property that is home to a 16 foot bell tent on a raised deck. Public beach access in Glenn is a 10 minute walk from our property or a 1 minute drive (limited parallel parking on 114th street) Nearby attractions include numerous wineries, breweries, restaurants and more. Within walking distance is a full service convenience store that serves some of the best pizza around. The towns of Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville and South Haven are all approximately a ten minute drive.When you pull into our driveway, you will find parking immediately on your right. The trail to the campsite begins behind the blue garage. A short walk from parking near the main house you will find the “comfort station” among the stand of quaking aspens. It houses a composting toilet, a sink with running water, an electric kettle with tea, coffee and mugs provided. There is also an outdoor shower with an on demand propane water heater. A short distance from the comfort station is a clearing with a fire pit and just beyond that is the bell tent. Inside the tent you will find a very comfortable queen size bed with clean bedding provided, chairs and a small table.

Perfect Road Trip Stop

Staying in the tent at Fernside was so nice! A little slice of heaven carved into the woods. The bed was so comfy and the tent was so big, we had a great time sitting up playing board games. They obviously put some effort into their shower/bathroom setup. It's so nice! It was lovely to get ready for bed in a clean space and wake up and be able to make coffee. We were roadtripping through the area, so the fact that this was right of the highway was so nice. However, there is a bit of road noise. You also do pass their neighbor's house on the way to the tent. Not a big deal for us, but good to know if that's a big deal for you. Our pup loved it here too! Lots of places to sniff and explore. Would recommend if you're a nature lover looking for a fun road trip spot!

This spot is super cute! Close to beaches and all the good stuff this area has to offer. Super comfy tent and bed. I would recommend darker colors for rugs and bed covers, especially after the rain and traveling with dogs. I couldn’t help the muddy paws! Had a warm shower and would totally go back here again!

What a gem this place was. We stayed there one night and would definitely go back. It’s just a short walk to a lovely rugged beach too where you could watch the sunset. Absolutely serene.

Cool spot / great yurt!

Cool spot for camping and great alternative to staying in a hotel in Saugatuck (only 15 minute drive)! The bed in the yurt was very comfortable. Blankets and pillows were provided. The shower and comfort station were very nice to have and was kept in good working order. The host added nice touches to make the site more enjoyable such as a charging station for phones, portable fans for the tent, firewood, and chairs for the campfire. You are camping in someone’s back yard, although the immediate camping area is mostly wooded. There is a new home being constructed next door that is rather visible from the fire pit which sort of took away from the sense of camping deep in the woods but still a great outdoors retreat especially coming from city living. There’s a corner store located not far from the site that has everything you need and excellent pizza. Overall, I highly recommend and will be retuning.
