Originally owned by Seymour and Dorothy Pittsley. The house was built during the depression on a chicken coop loan. All the wood in the home was harvested off the property. Still owned by the same family, but now occupied by the grandson and wife. Learn more about this land: Park your RV under our large oak and pine trees, or in the cleared grass field. Sites are at least 200 feet from the road out of site from most neighbors. A paved walking and biking trail is just a three minute walk from your camp site. The state park is 1 mile away and a small convenience store is located between the two. I had a good 2 nights of camping at south haven. It's very close to the Van Buren state park with sand dunes. South Haven the town is also minutes away with beaches, fishing charters,boutiques and plenty of great restaurants !

Good for an Overnight Stop

We did not stay long, but the property was good for our one night stay! It was a little bit tricky finding the entrance as we didn’t see a street number, but thankfully some kind neighbors helped us out!

Perfect stay while traveling!

Great for a short stay, multiple spaces to pick from. I chose one closer to the house because I was afraid my dogs might scare the chickens in the back. The site had beautiful moss on the ground! Tammy was super sweet and showed me around. While the site is very close to the highway, it was not too loud. My pups and I did walk the short distance to the paved trail in the woods, it was really nice.

We were passing thru and found Tammy’s place last minute. She was very cordial and has a dark and quiet spot with easy access to the highway.
