Our property is located between Marquette and Negaunee, in Michigans Upper Peninsula. We are approx 8 miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Superior and 53 miles from Pictured Rocks National Park. We are about 4.5 miles off of US 41 nestled in a quiet forest like setting. We built our home here in 2019 and are continually making improvements to the land. We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! Come and enjoy some peace and quiet at our Northern Oasis! We are near rivers for fishing and kayaking ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a few more private wooded sites. There are at least two or three areas for campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks. We have a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. There is fire wood available on this site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! If you don't like what is available when you arrive please don't hesitate to contact us-we do have other options! There are yard games, extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is an outhouse and a "port-a-john" on site.Stay on our quiet property near woods, river and trails. Our home is on the property with shared driveway but privacy, peace and quiet is to be had. Adventure awaits! We are approximately 7 miles from the beautiful Marquette, Mi. and Lake Superior, 4 miles from Iron Ore Heritage Trail, less than a mile from the Dead river and the McClure Basin both are great for kayaking, fishing as well as taking in sunrises and sunsets!Pictured Rocks National Park is less t”about an hours drive. We are on the race coarse route for the Ore to Shore Mountain bike epic! Please let us know if you need ideas for exploring the area! There are a couple of small and one larger waterfall just off of our road which we could give you directions to! No

Fall Camping
Great for fall weather! My two friends and I booked a trip up to Marquette to see the fall colors and everything was wonderful! Great hosts! Ended up having the area to ourselves and it was a comforting environment! 12/10 would go back!

Trying to find the area was hard because there are no signs. Yes, there are instructions on the site, but having a sign for the camp ground would be helpful because GPS took me to their neighbors home. There was a man there and we had asked him about where to bike at, but then saw no one else there. The “campground” is in someone’s back yard, there were camera which I understand since it is in someone’s yard but made me uncomfortable and wish I would have known ahead of time. There neighbors are close and all day and into the night there were children screaming and fireworks going off. The hiking trails that were in the back as advertised have their personal belongs on (plow equipment, etc.) Overall, it was taken care of and picked up, just don’t see us going back there.

Loved our stay
Camping on Joy and Brian’s land was fantastic, and they were some great hosts as well. The grounds were very well designed and maintained. Brian was very friendly and attentive, offering help or advice whenever we’d ask. They have loads of accommodations, extra chairs, multiple fire pits and wood, yard games; anything you could need. They attended to two outhouses that were the cleanest and best stocked camp restrooms I’ve ever used. I could go on forever, thank you guys! 10/10 would recommend, and we can’t wait to be back up for our next visit!

Brian was helpful on multiple occasions during our stay. He keeps the property clean and the wood stocked. It was a great experience camping here with our family!
