Waterfront paradise! Experience Stonington peninsula and Lake Michigan's little and big bays de noc by water or land starting out from lajoyes landing container cottages. This unique property is on the north shore of Garth point lane which is ground zero for the opening days of Walleye season. Head up stream of the whitefish river for kayaking/fishing or downstream around Garth point into little bay de noc for bigger waters. Bring your boat, kayaks, bikes, fishing poles, etc. We've got you covered with the unique shelter accomodations. There are 2 container cottages available for rental. These are "one-trip" containers therefore are pristine inside/out. Bathroom/shower facilities still under construction but will be available this spring. Outdoor cooking implements (gas grill, fire ring, charcoal grill, etc.) on site as this serves as my personal campground as well. Dock on site to launch smaller boats/kayaks from or the Rapid River boat launch just several hundred yards north accross the whitefish river to launch bigger walleye/fishing boats. Stonington peninsula light house, big bay de noc, big springs, Hiawatha national forest, a plethora of hiking//biking/orv trails.......nearby. Taking reservations now for 2023 season opener May 12th.
