Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Mostly private 3 acer lot in the woods, (neighbors on one side) near the lake with great access to launch a kayak. Flat areas for tent camping, or hang a hammock on one of the many trees. Plenty of room for multiple tents and parking on site. There is a camp fire ring provided. There are some restaurants driving distance as well as some great hiking trails. This area is big on dirt bikes, with many great parks close. This is a mostly private lot that is great for tent camping or small sprinter vans . It is located on a lake that is no wake but great for kayaking. You can bring your own kayaks or SUP. There is a fire ring provided and you can use any of the fallen branches for fire kindle. In the area there are many great hiking trails a car ride away and local entertainment and restaurants.

Great overnight stay!
Tent
Unfortunately we weren’t able to explore the land as we’d hope but by just driving it seemed pleasant. The hosts were extremely responsive & overly accommodating. We were just there for a quick overnight trip and it was perfect for what we needed. The driving directions given were spot on. We had some issues with our 4WD and they even offered the assistance from one of their neighbors but thankfully it wasn’t needed. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy Camping - Great Location!
Tent
This is my second week long stay at this location and I couldn’t be happier with the location, privacy, nearby amenities, natural atmosphere and affordability! I travel for work and have camped all over. As an experienced camper, I rarely end up at the same location however I will be back soon for another phase of my work in the area. And of course it helps that Kim and Shawn are wonderfully responsive great hosts!

I'd say unless you want to put your tents right beside one another this wouldn't be ideal for more than one tent - there's only one small section where tents can go in front of the felled trees behind the fire pit. The neighboring homes have a pretty clear view of you anywhere you're at on the property, hammocking was the only time I wasn't overly aware of it. the private lake access is nice, but it's a half mile down the road so if paddling you'll want to drive down. a local gave me the code thankfully because a kayak + person cannot fit through the walk-through gate together so it was a maneuvering effort to get it through on my first launch. it's a very shallow lake with motorized boats from those who live there so it does get pretty wavey - glad I didn't have my paddleboard! couldn't find firewood sold anywhere locally and nothing there was burnable so that was a doozy on 43° nights but I survived. The area is nice, it is on a private road and the dirt road journey to get there was nice after long shows at Pine knob. (25ish mins away!)

DO NOT CAMP HERE
Tent · With kids
Was not going to leave a review but I can see the host is still renting this campsite out. I camped here with my two young daughters and the neighbor started screaming from his property that we were not aloud to camp there. Then called my daughters misogynistic words I likely cannot repeat here and threatened to kill us. DO NOT CAMP HERE.

Great rustic campsite
Tent
The place is really nice and the dock is a great place to relax and take in the views. Kym and Shawn were very friendly and dont have any check in requirements, you just pull up to a site that is ready with a bundle of firewood waiting to be lit. This was my first time using this app and it was a smooth and easy process.

Great stay at Indian Lake Camp! I liked it there and extended my initial stay thru the week. Fantastic surrounding area is you’re looking for that somewhat isolated “up north” experience. Lake Orion and Oxford are both just a few miles away, Hosts were helpful 👍👍
