I have a 26 ft. JayCo Family bunk house Camper on a Full Service Site. This is on a private 5 acres with 18 ft. Fire pit, picnic tables with umbrellas, weber grills, and 2 frisbee cages to practice your throw We retired here next to Crystal Mountain so we could be near rivers and forest and Lake Michigan as we enjoy Hiking, walking, fishing and boating and golf and we got all of that within 1 mile of our private 5 acres, Note; i live on property and rent out a BnB in the house and rent out a cabin for 2 that has its own fire pit.

Cozy Snow Cabin

Everything about the Gatehouse cabin was great! Easy to get to, clean, and comfy. We really only used it to sleep in because we were exploring during the day. It was perfect for what we needed. And Al was very friendly and accommodating.

2025 WINTER CAMPER SITE

Alfred was a great and helpful host. The site was clean and beautiful, exactly as advertised. I strongly recommend this place to all size groups. We rented a couple of the sites and had the place to ourselves. The cabin was cute clean and perfect for my parents The camper site was perfect for our trailer with full hookup. It was an easy back in site with all the connections nicely grouped together. We were within an easy drive of some our favorite places up north. Including Empire, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and North Bar Beach. We hope to return.

2025 WINTER CAMPER SITE

Great location with easy access to golf and biking routes from nearby Crystal Mountain Resort. Beautiful campsite location with a nice fire pit area and grill. Wonderful host! Alfred was very accommodating to my schedule adjustments.

Jerry's Summer Get-a-Way

For those of you who do not own an RV, Jerry's Summer Get-A-Way provides you the opportunity to enjoy the perfect camping experience. Everything is already set up for you on a very private site complete with table, chairs and gas fire pit. The location is great for short day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City and much more. Alfred is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about things to see and do and will even provide you with directions. His land is well maintained and a great place to relax and unwind. There is a large fire pit is the center of the camp encircled in a concrete pad and we so enjoyed hanging out here in the evenings. The night sky is AMAZING for star gazing and we were even lucky enough to see the International Space Station two nights in a row. This truly is a wonderful way to enjoy an outdoor adventure. So much better than a crowded campground.

Great Lakes Roadtrip

Black Bear Cabin

Loved this spot on my Great Lakes roadtrip! Nice outdoor space shared with friendly fellow campers. The area is close to lots of lakes. Received a warm welcome from Alfred who was so hospitable and flexible with arrival time. You can tell he is passionate about his camp and Thompsonville! I would love to visit again.
