Site 1 - Crickside

Rough

This one is not for us, drive through is not bad opposed to the heaps of trash and random broken down cars. Mobile homes at the entrance, junk filled buildings about 250 Yards from the crick side campsite and directly across from potential hill campsites. Then the property owner who is not the host showed up in an old beat up ram, super weird interaction, was told had the site to ourselves. And upon driving up he had another older guy with him and binoculars sitting on the center counsel. Said hello to try and be friendly and then upon saying goodbye they lingered for another few minutes. Next morning, “the friend” showed up by himself (Sunday) and was messing with some old cheap moped, constantly looking at our camp. Super sketchy… the site has so much potential the mass amount of broken down vehicles, boats, buildings with trash super close and weird individuals ruined this spot for us. Overall will not be coming back but Christopher the host was great, and couldn’t be happier with his assistance during booking. Extremely nice and helpful.

Not what I expected, not what the pictures show; didn’t feel comfortable as a lady solo traveler, but if you’re a dude or multiple travelers, I bet you’d have fun!!

Camping with Big Group's

This place was nice. Had a group of 7 camping with 3 tents. Space wasn't a issue, could definitely fit 8+tents if needed. Overall nice place all the way in the back of a active gravel pit, but doesnt seem like your in the back of gravel pit once its night time. My only thing I wish was done or could be done to improve the area would be maintaining the overgrown bushes and a marker for where the location is at exactly. Other then that you cant beat the privacy at night with this property. Recommend for big group's. Also host was very helpful and answered right away when called. Thanks Nick

Camping with 2 Dogs!

A very kind host brought us cutting tools for wood to use for our stay, and we were in the perfect spot with trees to hang a tarp! A little buggy by the crick, but we were prepared with spray and candles! And a little bit noisy during the week with it being close to work sites, but it truly isn’t very disruptive. If anything, pretty interesting the kind of work that they do! My 2 dogs were off leash the whole time and it was perfect for them. Including the crick! It’s not too deep and prefect for wading and cooling off.
