Welcome to your beautiful base camp to explore all the best that Northern Michigan has to offer! You'll have 7 acres of land all to yourself, with a combination of pine and maple forests, located across from thousands of acres of State land with many snowmobile trails. Bring your bikes and head 1 mile on our dirt road to the Betsie River Trail where you can bike to Crystal Lake in 30 minutes. We're so close to Crystal Lake, Frankfort, Empire, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, wine country, and many wonderful bars and restaurants. We're more than happy to send you recommendations of what to do, eat, and drink during your stay! We have a covered picnic area, campfire ring, and basic pit toilet on site, with water and electricity coming soon, but be prepared to bring what you need and please take everything you bring with you :) We can tell you where to get water nearby if needed. We welcome both tents and RVs on our land, and are happy to accommodate larger groups for an additional fee.A nice level clearing right when you enter our property, this is currently our only site available so you'll have the whole property to yourself! Right across from thousands of acres of state land and down the road from the Betsie River Trail :) Site includes a picnic shelter with picnic table, wood burning stove, fire ring, and a basic pit toilet. You can feel free to camp anywhere in this area.

Beautiful clearing to view the Big Dipper. Nice and quiet. Firewood was a nice perk. Be careful campers where you drive, I dented up my van by hitting one of the fire rings. A few good spots for a tent. I appreciated the proximity to the Betsie Valley River Trail.

Great Trip!

We loved the campsite! It was awesome being able to pitch our tents in a private open or wooded area and feel the deep peace of being surrounded by nature. The covered area was awesome, with the wood burning stove, warming us at night and early morning. The location was perfect for exploring woods, trails, beach and even live music down the road! We loved having close access to an amazing biking trail and other great things like swimming and sightseeing through little towns and Interlochen, not too far away! Definitely will be back!

Simple and Quiet

This camping spot was a definite gem. Anyone looking for some seclusion & privacy, this is the spot for you! The site itself is large, clean, and has anything you really need. There’s an outhouse, shelter and fire pits. The road to get in is a little difficult to find, however, Eleanor was kind and provided me with a drop pin to ease my anxiety of finding in the dark. The property is relatively close to gas station, and a very cute grocery store (yes, there is a Starbucks). At night, I recommend turning off the string lights (with remote on table) & solar lights to take in the stars without any light pollution. I was able to capture some great pictures of the stars and sound clips of a barred owl. Pretty neat! To be honest, I was a little sad to have to leave this spot. Thanks Eleanor! You’re a great host. Would highly recommend this site to any campers who want simple and quiet!

Great camping spot

This was such a nice, clean, and private camping spot. The lighting on the pavillion, and at the bathroom area was a great bonus. Right next to all the trails for biking, which were absolutely gorgeous! If this spot is still available in the future, I would look forward to coming here again. 10/10 stars!

We’ll be back!

We loved our stay here! The site was large enough to give us and the other camper we were traveling with plenty of space and privacy. We appreciated that when you book the site, the site is for you and your travelers only—no strangers camping nearby. The pavilion was a nice feature and made for a great common space. Nice star gazing around the fire pit. Only 10 minutes from Beulah/Benzonia. We’ll definitely be back!
