Cedar trees surround this quiet spot in the Les Cheneaux Islands, Michigan's best kept secret. Bring your kayaks or canoe. Near Cedarville and Hessel, with a 25 mile drive to Detour Village and the ferry to Drummond Island. Hard pack sand at shore, with a nice spot to watch sunset. Firepit and wood on site, as well as a picnic table. This is a dry camp so you must have your own water. In the beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands of Northern Michigan off the southern shore of the upper peninsula in the waters of Lake Huon lies this nice little spot for escaping to a private, quiet, nature-filled campsite. We have a pair of nesting sandhill cranes and a couple of fox dens living on the site. Birders will enjoy the warblers, the woodpeckers and the kingfishers.
