6 camp sites, 1 RV site, 2 Yurts, and a Bohemian tent, located in beautiful and tranquil Southwest Michigan. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres. 15 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites are located. Each one has a fire ring and wooden picnic table. One site, capable of taking a mid sized RV / Fifth Wheel, is located on the front of the property with easy access from the road. It backs up to some trails and and brush / wood area and has a corn field to the right. So, even though on the front on the property, you have a feeling of privacy. It too has a fire pit and wooden picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. A more secluded half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. Then another in the middle of the pasture, one for sun lovers and one for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites (camping, Yurt and Bohemian) have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and wooden picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Please try to plan to check-in by 9pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Loved it!
2 Chicks and A Farm was a great place to camp with my family! We had a wonderful time and felt welcome and safe the entire time. The amazing farm animals and wandering felines were a major bonus! Julie greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth experience. I would definitely recommend and will return the next chance I get!!

Best camping trip ever!
Seriously the best HipCamp I have ever been to. If you love animals, this place is quite literally heaven. The host is so kind and attentive. My friend and I would love to visit again sometime.

Odd, Incomplete
We booked with 2 chicks and a farm for 2 nights. We booked breakfast and a farm tour. We provided the 30 minutes notice of our arrival. We had also been in communication throughout our drive up. When we arrived, the host greeted us. She walked my husband to the spot and said she'd be back shortly with our welcome basket. She never arrived. We set up camp and went to bed. We never recieved the basket. We had ordered breakfast in the morning, but as 930-10am rolled around, we still had not heard from her. We texted the number and messaged through Hip Camp, but didn't get an answer so we went into town. Several hours later, she replied she had been sick so we "probably would not want breakfast (cooked by her) anyways". Later in the afternoon, we explored the property and saw the pigs, chickens, ducka and goats. We never were contacted regarding the farm tour we booked. Overall, our kiddos had a good time. The site had firewood and a picnic table. The port-o-potty was clean. We were disappointed we didn't get a welcome basket, farm-fresh breakfast, or a tour, despite communication and booking it ahead of our reservation. We ended up leaving early due to weather (totally not the hosts fault!), but we weren't too upset about it because overall we were underwhelmed with the experience. Our interactions with the host were minimal and odd. I really wanted to like this spot, but overall it was a disappointment.

Snuggly cats and good food
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful night here! We were so happy to escape reality for a night and relax with the stars and cats. The breakfast casserole, bacon, and biscuits in the morning was delicious too!

A perfect getaway to be with nature
We continue to go to Julie's, as it is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway and to be with nature. The food is delicious and she makes every effort to make it with the foods you like. The animals are fantastic and there is never a need for more firewood! There are spots in the open, and secluded spots, and it is just a short trip to the lake. Everything is wonderful and we will be back again next year many times. We might even try the yurt with the stove this fall.

The camp areas are very well thought out with plenty of privacy. The little firewood boxes are nice, also the gift bowl with smores and popcorn 🍿 was very nice. Feeding the baby goats 🐐 was definitely fun. I got to meet the cats and their new kitten and who doesn't like kittens. The breakfast was very good 👍 Julie is a great host!!
