Our property is 85 very private acres with an open field surrounded by forest and open wooded area with many trails. The forest is very diverse including some old growth maples and birches, as well as hemlock and pine trees. The campsites are at the edge of the field set back into the woods. I have recently added sand and gravel to improve drainage since the heavy rain we have had last year. We have a portable composting toilet outhouse and a hot outdoor shower. Feel free to explore all of the trails on foot or mountain bike. You may see some turkeys or deer out there. There is a small pond with lots of frogs and salamanders near the camping area, and a few seasonal streams on the property. You can hike a one mile loop on our newest trail. It is medium difficulty because of the hillside it is built on so hiking boots are recommended unless you are on a mountain bike. Rock walls built in the mid 1800s circle the property almost entirely so the borders are easy to see. The Deerfield river is a few miles away where you can fish for trout or go for a swim or kayak. The Connecticut river and the green river are about 15 minutes away as well. We have tubes, a canoe, and a kayak that are available to rent for some floating! Historic Deerfield village and Yankee Candle store and factory are about 10 minutes away. We are about 20 minutes from Northampton and Amherst.Choose between camping in one of the wooded nooks at the edge of our grassy field. A stone fire pit is located at each site. We have plenty of firewood for campers so no need to bring any. Our composting toilet is available as well as our outdoor hot shower. Listen to owls and frogs serenade you to sleep! You might see a family of deer at dawn or dusk and you will definitely hear lots of birds. Bring your mountain bike or hiking boots and you can explore over a mile of trails on our property and easily get to the Deerfield river using the two mile long Mahican-Mohawk trail which leads to Conway Station where two rivers meet and you can see the ruins of a trolley bridge. The street we are on was recently designated part of the Franklin County scenic bikeway which takes you along the Connecticut river valley and many points of interest. We are a 10 minute to Treehouse brewery, Berkshire brewing company, historic Deerfield, yankee candle and mount sugarloaf reservation. We are 15 minutes from the Franklin county fairgrounds and Camp Keewanee.

Excellent services provided by host Willis. He was waiting for us and escorted us to the campsite. Everything was better than expected such as the prepared wood fir the fire pit and the picnic table with views of the forest. The nearby compost latrine was easy to get to and cleanest we've ever seen. Highly recommend and we will be going back soon.

Great secluded site!
Tent · Group trip
This site is perfect for those who want a nice relaxing weekend in the woods. Far enough from things but also close enough to a lot. We went hiking in the woods nearby and managed to get all the way to the river which was further than we initially thought, but it was a great hike nonetheless. We also had a great experience with Willis and his help showing us to the camp site. Overall I would come back in a heartbeat!

One of my favorite spots to camp
16 ft car
Willis has carved out the perfect camping nook. It couldn't be easier to pull right in with a vehicle, and the site is ready to go with a large, solid picnic table, a roomy fire pit, and a covered platform with firewood at the ready. For late September, the tree frogs and insects were still quite active at night .. the perfect soundtrack for a nighttime campfire. The composting toilet is nice to have, and the outdoor shower was clutch, just the thing after hiking around nearby Mt. Sugarloaf. He's even got a sink set up for when it's time to wash the dishes. I would come back for sure. It's easy to get to, quiet, and close to lots of outdoorsy stuff. Also, Willis has some young rock gardens budding around his property, so be sure to check them out. I am interested how they'll be looking a year from now.

We loved camping at Willis's property! The campsite was private, quiet, and easy to access. The location was perfect, super close to Treehouse Brewing which was our destination for a concert. Enjoyed having a hot shower too!

Perfect long weekend campging!
Tent · With kids
Excellent place for a beautiful and quiet Labor Day weekend camping trip with friends and family. So glad we opted for this against the crowded campgrounds. Loved the small hike in their woods, kids romping about in the field, laying in the grass and watching the shooting stars. Compost toilet did the trick and nice layout of the sites. Will definitely return for the treehouse that was under construction!
