Wood Fired Hot Tubsexperience
$125.00
Introducing the Woodland Bath experience! Stroll down a beautiful candle-lit path and slip into a wood-fired hot tub while soaking in the serenity of a quiet New England woodland. The perfect couples romantic experience, “girl’s night” fun, a solo meditative soak time, or even a family bath time – our off-grid tubs are for everyone!
What to expect; your hosts will clean and fill your tubs and heat them to the perfect soaking temperature. We will provide clean towels, a bottle of wine and glasses and plenty of candies for the most romantic and wonderfully unique experience! You will be left in complete solitude, but if you would like a couples photo in the tubs, that can be arranged.
When you book your tubs, please let your host know an approximate time you would like your tubs to be ready. We suggest 7:30-9PM for the most magical dusk to twilight experience!
We will heat the tubs between 100-110 degrees, which will last up to 2 hours of steamy soaking time. We will leave a jug of cold well water for you to add if your tub feels too hot.
Use our cool cabana to get undressed, hang your bathrobe, etc. If you would like to borrow our speaker to play your favorite tunes we are happy to share it.
*Family bath time can also be requested – for this we will heat the water between 90-100 degrees, provide bubbles, extra towels (for up to 4 people), and a non-alcoholic drink.
Frequently asked questions;
~Are the tubs clean? YES! Our tubs have recently been re-finished for a clean white interior and are scrubbed between uses. Our tubs are filled with fresh well water each time (so you will not be soaking in water that others have used like most hot tubs) yuk!
~Will I get burned by the fire underneath the tub? NO! We build the fire in a metal bowl of sorts which can be moved out from under the tub if the water gets too hot. Sometimes the bottom of the tub is too hot and we provide a comfy rubber mat for the bottom of the tub so you won’t burn your biscuits!
~Are the bugs bad? NO! Of course we cannot guarantee that there will be no bugs (you will be in the middle of the woods), but since we heat the tubs with fire, the smoke discourages bugs from bothering you. We also provide citronella candles just in case.
~Will I fit? YES! We have 2 sized tubes. The smaller tub is perfect for 1 adult (with bent knees) or 2 children, the larger tub is perfect for a large adult or up to 3 children.
*Please note: heating the water with fire discolors the water. We promise your water is clean and sanitary even if it is not crystal clear.
Cost; $125 for 2 heated tubs + extras, $60 for 1 heated tub +extras.
Andrea's campsite offers a welcoming and accommodating experience, with many guests appreciating the sense of privacy despite its proximity to the host's house. The site's location is convenient for outdoor activities like biking and fishing, and the hot tubs are a highlighted feature for a relaxing evening. While most visitors find the setup enchanting and well-cared for, one review noted some maintenance concerns like roots on the tent site and an unconventional composting toilet. Overall, the ambiance is enhanced by Andrea's kind hosting and the serene natural surroundings.

Camping with a Lover!
Tent
Andrea was the most kind host I have ever had. She made me and my partner feel so welcome, and even let us stay in her nicer campsite area because no one was staying there that night. She came out and had some marshmallows with us, and we even got to meet her dog and child. Their entire family and energy was so welcoming and made for a wonderful night camping.

The location is very convenient to Quabbin, which allowed my son and me to get out and fish way earlier than if we had left from home in eastern Mass.
