Choose from 11 similar sites available for your camping pleasure in our clover filled bottomland as well as our Hilltop sites for maximum privacy, exclusivity and star gazing potential. The natural Shade/Privacy nooks will keep the midday sun off of tents and the surrounding old growth forest makes for a great hike up to a very accessible and kid friendly cave to explore. Whether you stay for a day or a month, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the tranquil waters of the Potomac River. Throughout the summer, the river offers a user-friendly experience as water levels recede. Embark on float trips, kayaking, excellent fishing, swimming, cave exploring, or visit the historic towns and the Antietam Battlefields nearby for a touch of civilization during your stay. We have two kayaks and 4 SUP's, and numerous inner tubes on site free of charge. We have some life vests, but if you have your own, bring those along. Explore the endless miles of easy biking, hiking on the C&O Canal Towpath. Whether looking for adventure or just chill, down time, this location is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. There is limited shade in the camping areas after 2-3:00 PM depending on the time of year. We're working on large area sun shelters but haven't gotten there just yet. The river's beach is shady or filtered sun all day long. 4wd or All Wheel Drive are strongly recommended. If it's been dry, single wheel drive is fine, but if we get a hard rain the day before or during the stay, I'll possibly be pulling you up the hill a short distance to exit. Please pre-order firewood via a message to me if at all possible, so I can have it waiting for you. $30.00 buys you a long night's burn worth of all seasoned hardwood. Cash venmo paypal zelle all accepted upon arrival. PLEASE READ ARRIVAL INSTRUSTIONS CAREFULLY AFTER BOOKING!! We share a driveway with the Shepherds Springs Outdoor Ministry and want to make sure you don't pass our entrance as the only place to turn around is up at their lodge.

Great location and the host Greg was very kind in greeting us, giving us a tarp to cover our firepit/wood with to keep it dry when it rained a little bit, and told us about the places to check out along the river. We had a great time thanks to all of this!

Awesome weekend camping at Site 9
Greg’s campsites at Taylor’s Landing were perfect for our fall weekend. He has cleverly trimmed the grasses along a long strip of land with swaths of wildflowers so that all of the sites are slightly nestled along the woods and have a bit of privacy for your tent. The firepits are good size with bricks we used to suspend our cast iron on for cooking. The C&O trail runs along the land so bring your bikes. The swimming area on the Potomac is slow moving and fairly clear water. You can reach the trail and river in minutes from which ever site you pick. Our kids loved using the free enormous paddle boards. For $30, Greg supplies a healthy haul of wood - plenty for 2 nights - but it was a bit damp, likely because the climate here is so humid. We brought lots of kindling and some charcoal which worked great to get our fire going, cook food, and dry out the smaller pieces of cut wood to burn for our late night fires. Make sure to bring plenty of drinking water. We didn’t see a pump. The portopotties were well maintained, lots of TP, and even had hand sanitizer. Highly recommend. We look forward to coming back in the spring!

Fantastic biking, kayaking, caving!
Camped down by the river with 8 friends on this beautiful property and loved it! First thing I did was sit down for 20 minutes at the edge of the wildflower field and listen to the pollinators thrum which was teaming with bees of all kinds… it filled my heart. It’s so peaceful, and level and the night sky was gorgeous. The first day we put our kayaks in and paddled upstream for an hour or so and floated back down for a very leisurely day on the Potomac. The second day we ride for hours on the beautiful C&O towpath bike trail. The highlight for me was exploring the cave just a mile down the bike path. I love caving and this was a surprisingly extensive system! The sites are huge and spread out and level with nice fire pits and trash bags. The hill that you have to drive down to the river sites is dirt and very steep. We were a bit worried about driving back up in our 2WD sprinter van, but it wasn’t a problem. The host was friendly and gracious and helpful. Loved his beautiful pack of giant (and very well trained) dogs and the two cats who kept coming by for some loving. The location 30 minutes to Harper’s Ferry was fabulous!

The site is incredible, right on the Potomac and there were lots of kayaks and paddle boards in great shape for us to use. I’ve stayed at nearby public sites for cheaper, but without a doubt will be coming back here. For the amount that Greg and the site offer, this is such a steal. Had an incredible weekend and can’t wait to return!
