A lovely weekend
With kids
My Son (9yrs) and I had a great weekend at Cloud Nine Farm, The Farm and surrounding area where absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Views as far as you could see of Farmland, Orchards and Mts. Gorgeous setting. The accommodations were all very nice from comfy beds, very unique washroom & john area w lots of amenities, stocked kitchen with a large table and cooking implements. Everything was tidy and well decorated with loads of old tools and such from the 1890 era, that you are encouraged to pick up and learn from. There were loads of fun and interesting things to do from playing games (swings, horseshoes, croquet, basketball etc) to making crafts and painting in the large Arts Barn and workshop. Both evenings, we enjoyed a campfire watching the beautiful sunset that turned to stargazing and playing with glow bracelets Tam had given to us. The animals were all gentle and friendly, and my son really enjoyed gathering the eggs, digging potatoes, and learning to identify Trees. Tam is an excellent Host making sure you have everything you need and are having a good time, but gave us enough space to enjoy ourselves. Last thing before we let, Tam did a “Quick Once Over” to make sure we hadn’t left anything, I’m glad she did, as she found my boy’s iPad under one of the beds. Whew. Our visit was a really enjoyable experience and so much fun. I would recommend Cloud Nine to families, friends, couples or anyone looking for a lovely visit at a lovely place. We plan on coming back n

Lack of Privacy
With kids
The property was well-maintained and had a nice setting, but a few factors impacted our stay. The guest house is located directly in the owner’s backyard, with the outhouse situated immediately on the other side of one of the walls. Unfortunately, this setup caused our belongings to absorb the outhouse odor. The owner’s hospitality was evident, but privacy was a concern. Our family, particularly the kids, felt uncomfortable when the owner joined us by the fire pit. On the morning of checkout, she entered the property around 7:30 a.m. with coffee, which was a kind gesture, but then began inspecting and tidying the area while we were still preparing to leave—despite the 11 a.m. checkout. After our departure, we received a message about additional charges for firewood. We had initially purchased two bundles from the owner when booking but later bought more from a local store after running out. She had mentioned that we could use whatever was needed, so this message was unexpected. While the property has potential, privacy and clearer communication on amenities could enhance the experience for future guests.

good vibes
Tam and her sidekick Willow the German Shepherd are wonderful hosts. The summer kitchen is rustic and interesting and the beds are cozy. I can't wait for spring so that I can visit again!

We had such a fun stay on Tam's farm! The kids loved the chickens, cats and kitten. My husband and I adored the extremely well behaved pup, Willow. There was lots to do for the kids - arts and crafts, climbing trees, basketball, tire swing, Silver the bouncy horse, and a wide open area to run around with the glow sticks Tam gave them when it was dark. We found lots to do in the surrounding area, including Cunningham Falls, Fort Ritchie, and of course, Misty Mountain Creamery. Tam was a wonderful host and we definitely recommend Cloud 9 Farm.

Can’t wait to be back
With kids
We were so excited to return and relive our trip from a few years ago. Tam has continued to make the multiple spaces inviting and interesting. We loved learning about the history of the property and all the historical tools Tam has collected. What a great spot for kids, families, and couples. Will be back—this time sooner than three years!

My family’s stay at Cloud Nine was such a wonderful experience! Tam goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. We loved spending time by the campfire, exploring the garden, and snuggling with her sweet pets, Willow and Piper. Cloud Nine is a beautiful opportunity to slow down and enjoy time with the people you love. We can’t wait to go back again!
