The Point is located in Gouldsboro, in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula near the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park on occupied Wabanaki land. The point is our home, offered to guests as a place for seekers of peace and solace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. A priority here for me is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save and protect our natural environment and keep it natural and wild can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of you. We aim to prove that hipcamp can be a magical experience for private landowners and campers alike, to provide a means of temporal community and beneficial alternative to traditional campgrounds; one that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain. Please be mindful of the trash you generate and mindful of the noise you are making— we aim to provide seekers of peace a *quiet* time in nature. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world. Thanks for caring to come, see, explore, learn and being apart of the solution! <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
Idyllic Getaway
The A-frame is a stunning spot with lots of character. We had long fires on the beach, swam, and took walks on the neighboring nature preserve! Instructions were clear and Lily was very responsive. Would absolutely recommend!

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
Our stay at the Aframe was just what we were looking for. Such a peaceful and beautiful spot ! Lily was great with communicating about things that we might need. So cool to hear the sounds of the seal, owls, loon and pretty sure we heard the blow of a whale....Nice to have the shelter and comfort of the Aframe to watch a thunderstorm roll across the bay at night.

Starry-nite Farmhaus Woods on Ocean
Perfect camping spot!
The camping spot was such a special place and was perfect for my group’s needs. We had our own private area with access to the water where we brought kayaks and paddle boards and used them out there. Lily provided fire wood (just had to Venmo her) which we used at the two campfires that were provided at our spot. Lily was a great host and checked in with us to make sure we needed any water and were enjoying our time. We brought a 20 ft RV trailer and it fit well (any bigger would have been an issue). Would recommend to anyone interested and would definitely come back if we get the chance!

The Stargazer Beach Cabin
Location location location
The location is great, and being so close to the ocean is the draw here. Campers should know there is only 1 construction site type portapotty for what looks like at least 4 sites.

Starry-nite Farmhaus Woods on Ocean
We had the most amazing few days at the campsite and Lily was such a wonderful host. It’s truly a slice of heaven and we can’t wait to visit again. Being so close to the beach, without any other visitors, is unbeatable!
