We so love it here that we wanted to share it with others. Not much for rules, just ask for you to leave it better than you found it. Our piece of land has neighbors on both sides: one side protected by trees and cannot see them, the other side has a fence and both neighbors are super friendly. Set up right next to the river and enjoy the tranquil sounds of the waterfalls just above. This is also where 3 Pools is located, a place to soak and play, even pan for gold if you'd like! Coos Canyon is just 5 miles north of the site and Rumford is about 7 miles south where you can get any amenities you may need.Come relax on a nice open flat lot right on Swift River in Roxbury, Maine! Fly fish, hike or ride directly to some of the best ATV/UTV and snowmobile trails. All RVs and tents welcomed! This site is easy to access year round. Just 7 miles from downtown Rumford for any amenities, Coos Canyon just 5 miles north & both areas have public restrooms. no electric or bathroom on site. Must carry in/carry out. Plenty of downed wood to use for campfire. Okay to use grill & propane if available. Must carry in/carry out all items, including dog poop and cigarette butts. No bathrooms currently, but hoping to provide soon. Can use any fallen wood on property for the firepit. There are public bathrooms at Coos Canyon and in town in Rumford of needed.

It was a great spot next to Swift River. Close enough to Sunday River. We enjoyed our stay.

Carrie and Bob were great hosts, with fantastic communication! The campsite was great for us and a quick weekend getaway! Easy to find and right on the beautiful river. We enjoyed relaxing by the water and enjoying the waterfall upstream.

The yard was mowed, level and had a nice gas grill. The river is why we chose the spot. It requires a climb down rocks to access the river and too rocky to swim there. There is a popular swimming hole up river. In July the water was too warm to fish for trout. The road noise and lack of a private place to put the poop bucket were the negatives. If the host owns the neighboring property, a place could be cut out.
