*Please read full description before booking. Please be aware, this is rustic camping in the yard. This is not a campground or upscale facility. Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. We have a new and developing veggie garden. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. Car camping, van life, and RVs also welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Also, roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RVs can park in the driveway and we can likely only host one at a time. For RVs, Electric hook up is 20amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/day. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) for outdoor fires is $10/day and is on the honor system. You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. We have hosted up to 20 people at once, and as few as 1. Sometimes we get campers who are going to a concert in Bangor, which is awesome. Any hours coming and going are fine! Feel free to reach out with any questions. Enjoy a peaceful stay. 🙏**Please read the full description before booking! This is a rustic accommodation at a residence, not a campground. Come relax here at Lilac Firefly. Pitch a tent in designated camping areas or anywhere in the yard on our 7 acres. Car camping, van life, and RVs are fine, too. There are wooded areas with shade and open areas with full sun. Half of the yard is a pine and birch forest. If you want firewood, it is $10/day on the honor system. Please pay me directly by cash, venmo, paypal, or cashapp. You can send me a text to obtain payment info, then grab wood. You may use the Gorilla cart on the porch to transport items and wood. Please put it back when finished. There is cardboard for starting fires on the porch, and the wood pile is on a pallet close to the water. Pine brush is piled up near the wood, and can be used as kindling and to start a fire. After booking, you will receive a welcome email with all of this check-in info and more! Even including a video tour. **This lisitng is at my home in a residential neighborhood. This is NOT a campground. However, this town is very peaceful and country-like while being 15 minutes drive to town. Enjoy views of the night sky without light pollution. Deer, turkey, birds, squirrels, and other critters frequent the land. We have apple trees and a variety of plants here. There are two fireplaces. One community 4' stone fireplace down by the 4 campsites and small stream, and another closer to the house. Parking is by the house and probably on grass.  This is basic rustic camping with shared use of the house for a bathroom if needed. I will also provide well water. The walk from the house/parking to the campsites is maybe 3 min. It is possible to drive down to the lower campsites in good weather, but survey the land and your vehicle capability first. It's about a 10 min walk (.5 miles) to Orrington boat launch where you can swim or boat. I am a DJ, audio technician, and work another job full time. I travel frequently and may not be here. Self check in is likely, and if I am here, I can greet you too! There are roommates who live in the house and one who lives outside in a camper. He has a big dog that is friendly, with a loud bark and no bite. Coming to Bangor for a concert or event? Stay the night here - late hours coming and going are ok with us! Also, take respite in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood on serene land. Thank you!

Rustic Camping Near Bangor&Acadia!
Camping on Evan's land worked out great - we were running late and got in after dark, but he got back to us right away via text to work out details of where we should put our vehicles (which included a trailer with a sailing dinghy on it). Another party who was staying there had already started a fire and then gone to bed, so we got to enjoy that as we were setting up, since the tent sites are set up around the outside of the fire ring clearing in the center.

This was a nice forested yard near Bangor great to have access to the restroom for beginners and Walmart not far away. Near the road but it was quiet by 11pm.

Highly recommend!
We stayed at Evan's place on the way to Baxter State Park in Maine from New York. We arrived after sunset but had no trouble pitching the tent and getting a good rest after the long drive. The description provided at the time of booking was accurate. The bathroom and campsite were clean and neat. I wish I had more time to enjoy his place. Highly recommend!

Camper Van Camping
My wife and I drove our Ford Transit van into a nice quiet spot to sleep after going to the Kenney Chesney concert in Bangor only about 15 minutes away. We would stay there again during our next concert visit.
