North Campsite
One of the most epic campsites I’ve stayed at. Isolated, quiet feel while lakeside makes for a perfect experience. The only notable con is that it is a full 2 mile hike from the parking lot. We had 100+ pounds of camping gear because we brought our own fire wood etc, so it was a tough hike to and from. That being said, I recommend consolidating goods and making the trek!

Two Dog Hut
Two dog hut was such a fun and cozy place to stay! Directions to get there were super clear, and the cabin was just so cute, comfy, and clean! A fun mini adventure, 100% recommend!

Horrible experience
I’m not recommend this place at all, first, it’s not clean at all, everything dirty. Even has mice in there. I know this place is for camping but if you have bed you should say to bring blankets or sleeping bags, something. Second, it’s far from the parking lot and the map or direction are not good. Third, it’s say that there is water but we couldn’t find. Also they should have more light in there. I think it needs much more maintenance especially if you are renting that place. It was so creepy. We didn’t stay the 2 days was rented it for. We got there almost 7 pm and it was the worst night ever in our life that we run away the next day as soon the light come out, If you are a person who likes creepy places you can rent this but if you’re not, don’t even think about it. Horrible experience.

North Campsite
Beautiful spot. Bring a water filter or carry in. Some of the hiking signage is confusing at intersections. Pretty quiet except for nature sounds but there is a trail through the camp site so people may walk by. Precut wood was at the fire pit and a bucket to put it out.

North Campsite
Beautiful Spot!! Do it!!
This spot is amazing. The HVNC employee I spoke with ahead of time was super helpful when I called with questions. The site is very secluded but with access to boats, PFD's, and dry firewood pretty nearby. South campsite is right along the Dyer trail but the fire-ring and the picnic table is also right on the water. It was beautiful. The North Campsite or, Dyer Campsite 2, is more removed from the trail. I think either would be a great beginner spot for someone interested in backpacking but a little nervous about a longer/uphill hike in. I am excited to return in the fall and winter.
